We support a wide range of clients and projects, and our accounting team plays a key role in keeping operations running smoothly.Position OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable AP/AR Specialist to manage day-to-day accounting functions, including invoicing, collections, and vendor payments. This role is critical to maintaining strong cash flow, accurate records, and positive relationships with both customers and vendors.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts Receivable (AR):<ul><li>Generate and send customer invoices accurately and timely</li><li>Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances</li><li>Communicate professionally with customers regarding payment status</li><li>Apply payments and reconcile discrepancies</li></ul>Accounts Payable (AP):<ul><li>Review, code, and enter vendor invoices</li><li>Ensure proper approvals and documentation are in place</li><li>Process payments (checks, ACH, credit card)</li><li>Maintain vendor records and respond to inquiries</li></ul>General Accounting Duties:<ul><li>Reconcile accounts and assist with month-end close</li><li>Maintain organized and accurate financial records</li><li>Support job costing and project tracking as needed</li><li>Coordinate with operations team on billing and vendor issues</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>2+ years of AP/AR or general accounting experience</li><li>Experience in construction, service, or trade industry preferred</li><li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills</li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines</li><li>Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)</li><li>Strong communication skills (written and verbal)</li></ul>What We&rsquo;re Looking For<ul><li>Self-starter who takes ownership of their work</li><li>Someone comfortable following up on payments and maintaining accountability</li><li>Team player who can work closely with both office staff and field operations</li><li>High level of integrity and professionalism</li></ul>Compensation &amp; Benefits<ul><li>Competitive pay based on experience</li><li>Health benefits, Paid Vacation, 401(k)</li><li>Stable, growing company with long-term opportunity</li></ul>How to ApplyPlease submit your resume and a brief introduction outlining your experience with AP/AR and accounting systems.ASAP Glass &amp; Door is an equal opportunity employer.
