Summary:</b></p><p></p><p><br>
The Production Superintendent organizes and schedules the activities of the employees working on the production crews to produce cost-effective amounts of clinker and cement, according to quality control specifications and plant production goals. This position coordinates production activities with other departments to ensure shipping, maintenance, and quarry activities are in sync with production schedules. The position supervises a medium team of employees.</p></div><p></p><div><p><b><br>
What you&rsquo;ll be contributing:</b></p></div></div><p></p><div><div><br>
<ul><li>
Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
</li><li>Prioritizes, assigns, and communicates tasks for the employees working on the teams.</li><li>
Directs production team and manages plant operations to ensure production goals are achieved. Strives for continuous improvement of production operations.</li><li>
Monitors and supervises the performance of hourly employees working directly in the production process. Evaluates job performance and communicate same to employees.</li><li>
Performs hiring, recommends or provides technical training, discipline, and other related duties as needed for the shift.</li><li>
Coordinates with control room personnel to respond as quickly as possible to problems occurring in the production process.</li><li>
Monitors quality control and coordinates with lab and production personnel to ensure that adjustments are made to enhance quality and meet required specifications.</li><li>
Collaborates with Team Members from prior and following shifts regarding the status of production operations, problems, and adjustments being made to meet production standards and objectives.</li><li>
Ensures team understanding that material streams from the producing units and transfer facilities are properly positioned and operating.</li><li>
Provide support so that safety meetings are held regularly to ensure employees understand and practice proper safety procedures.</li><li>
Assures that inspection of work areas is completed for safety hazards and ensures compliance with safety and environmental regulations.</li><li>
Maintains records of employee overtime, absences, vacations, etc., and prepares daily time sheets for production employees. Ensures that proper pay scale codes and charge numbers are recorded for employees.</li><li>
Monitors inventory of materials in the plant daily and that documentation is provided accordingly.</li><li>
Inspects equipment and process systems and provides data to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and process problems.</li><li>
Assists with Investigations and reporting accidents and incidents as required by internal contacts and external agencies.</li><li>
Investigates, recommends, and implements capital investments as needed.</li><li>
Coordinates efforts with other departments such as maintenance, shipping, quarry, and marine.</li><li>
Assures accurate preparation of daily reports and maintains required records regarding production operations as requested.</li><li>
Inspects equipment and process system breakdowns, determines repairs needed, and writes work orders.</li><li>
Coordinates and supervises equipment repairs and preventative maintenance performed by maintenance personnel.</li><li>
Ensures that supplies and tools are maintained for the teams. Purchases and/or orders supplies, and equipment.</li><li>
Supervises contractors working on projects during shifts.</li><li>
Coordinates supervision for plant operations during the night and weekend shifts. This can include quarry, production, maintenance, electrical, and shipping.</li><li>
Assures that procedures are adequate to receive, inspects and unloads shipments of fuel, clinker, cement, and raw materials received via truck, rail car, and barge.</li><li>
Develops and instills in shift leaders a working understanding of all company and plant policies affecting plant operations.</li><li>
Inspects kiln, preheater, and cooler systems refractory, track/document refractory lining thickness, maintains accurate refractory inventories, calculate/order required refractories, maintain/update kiln brick chart, and train personnel in refractory installations.

Minimum of a 4 year/Bachelor's Degree in science, math, or closely related field.</li><li>
Minimum 5 years of experience in similar positions in the production area of a cement or related industrial plant facility or closely related position.</li><li>
Proficient in English written, verbal communication, and listening skills</li><li>
Ability to efficiently perform, organize and prioritize work independently</li><li>
Ability to make decisions and to exercise sound judgment in arriving at a conclusion</li><li>
Knowledge of kiln and mill operations, mobile equipment, machinery functions, and production process control</li><li>
Knowledge of other plant departments such as shipping, maintenance, quarry, and engineering</li><li>
Ability to understand and comply with company and plant policies covering plant employees</li><li>
Ability to effectively monitor production operations and quickly detect and respond to processing problems</li><li>
Ability to understand and comply with safety and environmental regulations</li><li>
Ability to work under general supervision with specified objectives, policies, and performance standards</li><li>

The Environmental Manager - Haz Waste administers environmental and waste-derived fuel programs following federal and state environmental laws and regulations. This position ensures compliance with all relevant environmental regulations, develop and implement waste management plans, and coordinate waste disposal activities. The position conducts inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential environmental hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them. The Environmental Manager - Haz waste collaborates with other departments to develop and implement sustainable practices and promote environmental awareness among employees.</p></div><p></p><div><p><b><br>
What you&rsquo;ll be contributing:</b></p></div></div><p></p><div><div><br>
<ul><li>
Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
</li><li>Manages the team to complete the preparation of air quality reports, air emissions and toxic release inventories, air pollution permit renewals and air construction permits.</li><li>
Coordinates and supervises stack testing activities, including Comprehensive Performance Tests and Confirmation Performance Tests under the Hazardous Waste Combustor MACT rules, and reviews/approves all stack testing reports.</li><li>
Ensures compliance with all water related rules including completion of discharge monitoring reports and/or other water pollution reports, where applicable.</li><li>
Prepares and maintains reports Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasures (SPCC), Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SPPP), Solid waste management, permit renewals, waste minimization, and all corrective action requirements required by the facility&rsquo;s RCRA permit.</li><li>
Remains compliant with applicable air regulations including NESHAP and NSPS and associated periodic reporting.</li><li>
Remains compliant with applicable Hazardous Waste Management RCRA permit requirements and associated periodic reporting.</li><li>
Perform audits of Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) data acquisition system and maintain/administer changes as needed.</li><li>
Works with Waste Fuels Manager to provide daily coverage of essential daily regulatory functions.</li><li>
Ensures compliance with all environmental permits and all applicable federal, state and local environmental laws and regulations.</li><li>
Manages hazardous waste inspections, documentation, quarterly and annual reporting, fuel approvals and logistics, customer interface, and plant coordination of fuel supply and personnel.</li><li>
Ensures that corporate, departmental, and plant safety goals and initiatives are trained and tracked at all levels of responsibility. This includes active participation in Joint Company-Union Safety Committee, Plant Safety Leadership Committee, adherence to Life Saving Rules (LSR) and area inspections (monthly or as assigned).</li><li>
Ensures that ISO14001 procedures are followed and updated, including quarterly EMS Meetings and Monthly CMS Calls.</li><li>
In cooperation with corporate environmental personnel, contracts with training consultants when needed</li><li>
Coordinates all training efforts and goals with the Waste Fuels Supervisor, Plant Environmental Engineer, Safety Manager, Corporate Environmental Engineer, and Director of Environmental Affairs.
</li><li>Facilitates all communication with plant, corporate, legal, and regulatory agencies to ensure ongoing compliance with all regulations.</li><li>
Participates in projects involving environmental issues including contact with regulatory agencies and accompanies inspectors during inspections.</li><li>
Departmental Capital Project development and contractor oversight, including contractor safety management system implementation and documentation.</li><li>
Capital, Major Maintenance and Plant MOC development and approvals.</li><li>
Participation in corporate training, meetings, and committees (e.g., Annual Environmental Meetings, Semi-Annual WDF Meetings, and ISO 14001 Transition Team)</li><li>
Assists regulatory agencies by providing information and assistance as required.</li><li>
Guides plant environmental staff (Environmental Engineer, Environmental Technician) towards professional development and performance management.</li><li>
Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.</li></ul></div><div><p><br>
