ASHE Society&rsquo;s Human Resource Specialist is responsible for supporting the full employee lifecycle with a focus on talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, and training. This role partners with operations and managers to attract, hire, and retain top talent while ensuring a positive and compliant workplace culture. The HR Specialist will also facilitate onboarding programs, address workplace concerns, and coordinate training initiatives to enhance employee engagement and performance.Roles &amp; ResponsibilitiesRecruitment &amp; Talent Acquisition<ul><li>Partner with store managers to identify staffing needs and update job descriptions</li><li>Post job openings on appropriate job boards</li><li>Screen resumes, conduct initial phone interviews, and schedule candidate interviews</li><li>Coordinate and sit in on open interviews with hiring managers</li><li>Coordinate and conduct reference checks and create offer letters</li></ul>Onboarding<ul><li>Prepare new hire paperwork and ensure all pre-employment requirements are met</li><li>Conduct new hire orientations to introduce company culture, policies, and procedures</li><li>Ensure a smooth transition for new employees into their roles</li><li>Partner with managers to develop onboarding schedules for each position</li></ul>Employee Relations<ul><li>Serve as a first point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns</li><li>Support conflict resolution and workplace investigations in partnership with the HR Director</li><li>Maintain a fair and respectful workplace while ensuring compliance with labor laws</li><li>Assist in developing and maintaining employee engagement programs</li></ul>Training &amp; Development<ul><li>Coordinate and facilitate employee training programs</li><li>Partner with managers to identify performance gaps and provide targeted training or coaching</li><li>Track, monitor, and evaluate training program effectiveness; recommend improvements to increase engagement and knowledge retention</li><li>Research and recommend new learning tools, resources, and technologies to enhance employee development</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)</li><li>HR certifications (plus but not required)</li><li>2&ndash;3 years of professional HR experience in areas such as recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and training and development</li><li>Familiarity with HR best practices and understanding of employment laws (federal, state, and local) (cannabis compliance a big plus)</li><li>Strong knowledge of employee lifecycle processes (recruitment, hiring, onboarding, retention, termination)</li><li>Working knowledge of wage &amp; hour laws, benefits administration basics, and compliance requirements</li><li>Ability to handle employee relations issues with professionalism and discretion</li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)</li><li>Knowledgeable and passionate about the Cannabis Industry (preferred)</li></ul>Physical Demands &amp; Work Environment<ul><li>Able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds</li><li>Frequently required to reach with hands and arms</li><li>Required to stand, bend, lift and engage in repetitive motion</li><li>Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus</li><li>Noise level in this work environment is moderate</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: From $22.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Retirement plan</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
