Your role in our shared journey
Located at our EMEA headquarters in Hoofddorp, near Amsterdam, you'll contribute to our mission by driving the development and optimisation of back-end Business Intelligence solutions that deliver actionable insights across the organisation. As a Senior BI Engineer, you'll lead critical initiatives in data governance, integration, and cross-functional collaboration whilst establishing best practices that enhance data literacy and BI adoption throughout EMEA.
Your role will be instrumental in weaving the fabric of our movement, bringing unique perspectives and driving innovation with every step.
Your key responsibilities will be:
<ul><li>Define and prioritise technical requirements that align with the overall business strategy whilst translating complex business needs into effective technical solutions.</li>
<li>Lead data integration initiatives and orchestrate sophisticated data pipelines to ensure seamless data flow across the organisation.</li>
<li>Design advanced data models and database schemas whilst implementing comprehensive data transformation, cleansing, validation and enrichment processes.</li>
<li>Optimise database platforms to enhance performance, scalability and cost-effectiveness across all Business Intelligence operations.</li>
<li>Establish robust documentation and version control systems whilst ensuring full compliance with data privacy regulations and managing access controls.</li>
<li>Provide expert support and training to peers and stakeholders through effective troubleshooting and incident management approaches.</li>
<li>Drive Business Intelligence adoption and enhance data literacy across the EMEA organisation through continuous improvement initiatives and targeted development programmes.</li> 
</ul> 
You have the following skills:
<ul><li>Extensive SQL and relational database expertise.</li>
<li>Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake and DBT; experience with complementary ETL solutions such as Azure Data Factory is preferred.&quot;</li>
<li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.</li>
<li>Experience establishing CI/CD standards for data engineering projects.</li>
<li>Demonstrated success leading significant ETL and database projects.</li>

Senior Business Intelligence Engineer

A Brief Overview 
 
Reporting to the Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis (Profit Consolidation), the Financial Analyst will be responsible for performing budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and preparing variance reports. The Financial Analyst will also be in charge of providing financial support to the management team, prepare projection reports, conducting financial reporting, and preparing marketing budgets and forecasts. The financial analyst will be using Excel and SAP extensively.

What You'll Do
<ul>
<li>Compiles the annual SG&amp;A budgets by Cost Center for ASICS America Corp. (AAC), and coordinates updates/changes with the Cost Center owners. Align Top-Down targets to Bottom-Up build and loading the updates to SAP and BPC in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Generates Forecasted SG&amp;A (January, April, July, October, as well as interim requested updates) by reporting Channel (Wholesale, Retail, eCom) including ancillary details, coordinating with Marketing stakeholders (including individual Cost Center owners as needed).</li>
<li>Performs monthly analysis on actual expense variances to budget across all AAC Cost Centers and Business Channels (Balance Sheet and Income Statement), including scheduling and conducting Monthly AAC Cost Center SG&amp;A Budget Review meetings.</li>
<li>Manages the marketing expense activity list and provides marketing split by product category on a monthly basis.</li>
<li>Assists in the preparation of other Budget areas, such as Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, including obtaining input from key business partners (Cash Manager, Credit Manager, and others), as needed.</li>
<li>Assists in the preparation of Sales, COGS, and GP Budgets, Forecasts and Analyses as available and determined by FP&amp;A Manager. This may include working with business partners (Sales, Planning, Operations, and others) to further refine our processes and visibility.</li>
<li>Performs Value-Add functions as identified based on analyses and trends, such as cost reductions (efficiency factors), reduction of suppliers/vendors (consolidation of purchases), KPI&rsquo;s, Cost-Benefit analyses, and other measurements.</li>

How You'll Be Successful

<li>Solid knowledge of general accounting and financial planning</li>
<li>Knowledge in Excel functions and modeling, including the use of pivot tables and macros for financial analysis.</li>
<li>Ability to manage large amounts of data efficiently.</li>

What You'll Need
<ul>
<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration or equivalent work experience</li>
<li>3-5 years experience as a Financial Analyst or similar position required</li>
<li>Experience with SAP and BPC preferred</li>
<li>Intermediate-level experience using Microsoft Excel required</li>
<li>Computer skills: Microsoft 365 Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required</li></ul> 
 
SALARY / PAY RANGE: Min: $70,304 Max: $72,000
