Job Description</b></p><p>
We are seeking a highly motivated, self-driven, and hands-on technical professional to support our cutting-edge e-beam inspection products. This role is part of the Central Applications Team within the HMI organization at ASML&rsquo;s Silicon Valley site.</p><p></p><p>
The Central Apps Team collaborates closely with product development, marketing, sales, regional teams, and customers, offering broad exposure to the full product lifecycle. Engineers in this team play a pivotal role in both customer engagement and product innovation.</p><p></p><p>
As a key member of the Central Apps Team, the Senior Algorithm Application Engineer will be responsible for the following tasks:</p><ul><li><p>
Create and optimize scanning electron microscopy (SEM) recipes, including image acquisition settings and defect detection algorithms, develop best-known methods tailored to diverse customer needs.</p></li><li><p>
Apply existing product features to solve challenging customer cases, identify product gaps and improvement directions as needed.</p></li><li><p>
Collaborate with product team on new (algorithm) feature study and development, test and validate prototype using in-house and customer data before product release.</p></li><li><p>
Engage with customer on new production introduction, develop new use cases together with customer.</p></li><li><p>
Support customer as a second-line technical resource for field engineers, helping resolve complex customer issues.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>
Education</b></p><p>
Ph.D. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or related areas.</p><p><b><br>

Minimal 2-3 years of research or hands-on development experience in image processing or related areas</p></li><li><p>
Hands-on experience in scanning electron microscopy is a great plus</p></li><li><p>
Understanding in key process steps of Logic/DRAM/NAND device is a big plus</p></li><li><p>
Experience in optimization/numerical simulation/mathematical modeling/machine learning is a plus</p></li><li><p>

Familiarity with digital imaging tools and laboratory procedures is important (Optical Microscope Expert). Your Assignment</b></p><p>
The Controls team focuses on high-speed real-time control that operates and regulates the EUV light source in a fully automated way.</p><p></p><p><i>
