They'll also know how to get things done.We're looking for:<ul><li>Crew Members - Willing worker to help install our various landscape and hardscape projects</li><li>Crew Leaders- Someone who wants to take that next step - running landscape projects, managing crews, and working with clients. There's a lot of room for talented landscapers to grow here.</li><li>Gardeners / Horticulturists&ndash; We want to expand our gardening division and need someone who can help manage planting projects.</li></ul>QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>Safety-conscious</li><li>Able to lift and move 50 -70lb safely and repeatedly - extra points if you can use equipment and save your back</li><li>Respectful of clients, coworkers, and tools</li><li>Adaptable - sometimes despite the best planning, the plans will change</li><li>Able to safely drive a medium duty dump truck (below CDL) or truck and trailer</li><li>Able to operate equipment safely</li></ul>BENEFITS* Bonus Plan - we offer really aggressive bonuses for performance of field work. We are willing to explore / build benefits programs for the right employees.ABOUT USWe&rsquo;re a high-end, sustainability-minded landscape design/build company that works in and around Madison, Wisconsin. Most projects are for older upscale homes in need of patios, walkways, plantings, etc. and clients looking for landscapes that are both ecological and, when possible, beautiful. We also do a fair amount of small-scale stormwater / grading work and rain gardens. Our focus is on local and natural materials rather than concrete block walls and spireas, so projects often take patience, thoughtfulness, and creativity, and along with hard physical work. It&rsquo;s not a perfect fit for everyone.We do landscape work because we love it. Our three year goal is to have a small, fun business with great employees who know what they are doing so we can focus on enhancing our lives, our communities, and our craft. With the right team, we can take this business about anywhere we want.WORK HOURSPotentially year-round, though the heart of our season is from late March until things are too cold or frozen to work. We work 40-45 hours/week mostly around 7:30am-5:30pm Monday through Thursday, with the occasional Friday or Saturday if it rains throughout the week. We encourage employees to take some time off throughout the work season for travel, family and play.LOCATIONOur shop is in Oregon, and our work is mainly in Madison.PAY RATE$18.00 - $30.00 per hour to start based on experience and fit - We&rsquo;re willing to make it work for the right person. Expect more for after Thanksgiving production.SOME THINGS I KNOW Surround yourself with good people and good things will happen. Good intentions plus superior effort will take you far. Charge enough so you can afford to do nice things for people you love - then charge a little more. If everyone had a bit of beauty in their day-to-day maybe it would make their life better. And maybe they would be nicer to other people. And then they would have a nicer day. Chance favors the prepared mind. Sometimes winging it is all you can do. Work can be fun. I enjoy working with other people - especially when they are having fun. I feel healthy when I work hard. And when I&rsquo;m in the woods. The better a project turns out, the more happy I am. Reggae Monday&rsquo;s are a good thing. People can only have fun if they aren&rsquo;t worried about money. Burritos are delicious. Sustainability is worth striving for - don&rsquo;t be cynical. The things that got me to this point in business won&rsquo;t get me to the next place - I need to keep learning. If everyone grew some food at home everyone would likely be more fulfilled. You can count the seeds in an apple, but you can&rsquo;t count the apples in a seed.
