This vital role involves managing patient referrals, coordinating appointments, authorizations and providing exceptional front-desk support to ensure smooth operational flow. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, medical office experience, and a thorough understanding of healthcare procedures and confidentiality standards.&lt;Responsibilities&gt;<ul><li>Serve as the primary point of contact for patient referrals, ensuring accurate documentation and timely processing.</li><li>Coordinate appointment scheduling with various departments while maintaining efficient workflow.</li><li>Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance verification procedures to facilitate patient billing processes.</li><li>Manage medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality at all times.</li><li>Assist patients with inquiries related to appointments, insurance, and medical documentation in a professional manner.</li><li>Utilize medical terminology accurately when documenting patient information and communicating with healthcare providers.</li><li>Support the office team by handling administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and maintaining office supplies.</li></ul>&lt;Requirements&gt;<ul><li>Proven experience working in a medical office environment with familiarity in medical terminology and records management.</li><li>Knowledge of managed care processes, insurance verification procedures, and medical coding systems including CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9, ICD-10, and ICD coding.</li><li>Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security.</li><li>Experience with medical office software and electronic health record systems is preferred.</li><li>Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting.</li><li>Prior experience in dental office settings is considered an asset.</li><li>Effective communication skills to interact professionally with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies.
