This position is responsible for assembling control panels and providing inventory management for our team of professionals who provide high-end engineering consulting design, construction, and maintenance services. 
Asplundh Engineering Services provides superior, full service professional engineering, engineering support, equipment procurement, and automation controls integration&mdash;from planning and design to implementation and commissioning. AES-Ambler&rsquo;s in-house panel shop allows custom control design/build manufacturing. We have been delivering reliable design of complex electrical systems for over 20 years and are a pioneer in the development of engineering and controls automation.

Essential Functions &amp; Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Ensure all materials, components, and supplies are accurately received, inspected, and logged into the inventory system.</li><li>
Evaluate and maintain accurate inventory levels, track the usage of materials, and assist with periodic physical inventory counts.</li><li>
Ensure proper storage, labeling, and organization of materials in the stockroom to ensure easy access and minimize loss or damage.</li><li>
Communicate with the procurement team regarding material shortages, delays, or quality concerns.</li></ul><ul><li>
Select and organize materials and components for upcoming projects, ensuring they are staged and ready for production.</li><li>
Package and label parts appropriately for transportation to project areas or other departments.</li><li>
Assembly of electrical control panels to include drilling, mounting, and wiring</li><li>
Metal work &ndash; sawing, cutting, drilling, and tapping to mount devices and components onto cabinet inner panels, cabinet doors and walls
</li><li>Relay and server rack assembly &ndash; 19 inch and 24 inch rack assembly</li><li>
Communication cable and connector termination (RJ11, RJ45, specialty)</li><li>
Panel wiring &ndash; conductor routing, termination, harnessing, and cabling to support 5VDC up to 480VAC.</li><li>
Wiring of PLCs, HMIs, RTUs, Industrial Computers, Data concentrators, Controllers, Power Relays and Meters, Cell modems, routers and other control and monitoring components.</li></ul><ul><li>
Ensure the workspace, tools, and equipment are maintained in a clean and safe condition, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.</li><li>
Maintain accurate logs and reports related to inventory, materials, and panel assembly activities.</li><li>
Provide feedback to improve inventory control processes, material handling, and control panel assembly efficiency.</li></ul> 

Minimum Qualifications:<ul><li>
Basic knowledge of electrical components and industrial control panels (preferred).</li><li>
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications.</li><li>
Proficiency in using inventory management software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word).</li><li>
Familiarity with safety standards and best practices in both inventory management and electrical assembly.
</li><li>Forklift operation certification or experience (preferred).</li><li>
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.</li><li>
Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods of time.</li><li>
Problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude.</li><li>
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.</li></ul> 

Education &amp; Experience:<ul><li>
High school diploma or equivalent. Additional technical training or certifications in industrial controls, electrical assembly, or inventory management is a plus.</li><li>
Minimum 2 years of experience in material receiving, inventory control, or a related field.</li><li>
Work experience in the construction or engineering industry is an advantage</li><li>
Outstanding initiative, well-organized and strong sense of responsibility</li><li>
Excellent computer knowledge and advanced skills using QuickBooks, Microsoft Word, and Excel are required</li></ul> 

License &amp; Certifications:<ul><li>
Driver's License Preferred, but not required</li></ul> 

Travel: 
Little to no travel is expected for this position 
Physical Requirements: 
This position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, working with power and manual tools, and bending or standing at a work bench for a prolonged period of time.
