Job Description: Operations Controller &ndash; Regional Planning &amp; Forecasting 
Position Overview
The Operations Controller is a key financial and operational partner responsible for leading planning, forecasting, and accounting processes for a defined geographic region within the business unit. This role ensures that regional financial plans align with broader business segment expectations, supports strategic decision?making, and drives operational performance through strong analytical insight and cross?functional collaboration. 
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning &amp; Forecasting<ul><li>
Lead the development of annual operating plans, quarterly forecasts, and long?range financial projections for the assigned region.</li><li>
Partner with regional leadership to translate operational drivers into accurate financial forecasts.</li><li>
Monitor performance against plan, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.</li><li>
Ensure planning assumptions are aligned with business segment guidance and strategic priorities.</li></ul> 
Accounting &amp; Reporting<ul><li>
Oversee month?end close activities for the region, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with corporate accounting policies.</li><li>
Prepare and review regional financial statements, management reports, and KPI dashboards.</li><li>
Maintain strong internal controls and support audit requirements as needed.</li><li>
Ensure timely and accurate recognition of revenue, expenses, and accruals.</li></ul> 
Business Partnership &amp; Stakeholder Management<ul><li>
Serve as the primary financial liaison between the region and business segment leadership.</li><li>
Communicate financial insights, risks, and opportunities in a clear, actionable manner.</li><li>
Support operational leaders with data?driven recommendations to improve efficiency, profitability, and resource allocation.</li><li>
Facilitate alignment between regional plans and segment?level expectations.</li></ul> 
Operational Analysis &amp; Performance Management<ul><li>
Analyze operational metrics, cost drivers, and productivity trends to identify improvement opportunities.</li><li>
Support scenario modeling, investment evaluations, and strategic initiatives.</li><li>
Drive continuous improvement in planning and reporting processes, leveraging automation and best practices.</li></ul> 
Qualifications<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field; MBA or CPA a plus.</li><li>
5&ndash;8+ years of experience in financial planning &amp; analysis, operations finance, or controllership roles.</li><li>
Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial modeling, and forecasting methodologies.</li><li>
Proven ability to partner with cross?functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.</li><li>
Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.</li><li>
Proficiency with financial systems, ERP platforms, and advanced Excel/BI tools.</li><li>
Significant travel required (estimated 50%), including to field offices on a recurring basis</li></ul>

This role is responsible for assisting with the clearing &amp; removal of trees along electrical power lines and right-of-ways. A Bucket Operator operates an aerial lift device (bucket truck) to reach branches interfering with electric lines.

Essential Functions &amp; Responsibilities:</h4><ul><li>
Plans, assigns, directs, checks, and coordinates work.</li><li>
Obtains written or oral permission from property owners to trim or remove trees or perform other work on the property. Arranges with customer or property owner to obtain access, advises of interruption, explains work to be done, etc.</li><li>
Promotes and maintains good customer and public relations through the effective accomplishment of assigned work and the appropriate behavior of employees on the crew.</li><li>
Cooperates with customers, police, and fire departments when blocking streets or driveways.</li><li>
Safeguards employees and the public from hazards in and around the work area.</li><li>
Sets up barriers, warning signs, flags, markers, etc. to protect employees and the public.</li><li>
Responsible for quality and quantity of production and for following safe practices and rules while clearing and trimming trees and brush away from utility lines.</li><li>
Operates and services equipment, such as gasoline, hydraulic tools, power saws, power winches, buckets, chippers, and sprayers.</li><li>
Operates a Bucket near energized lines to remove branches and tree material.</li><li>
Performs tree and bucket rescue.</li><li>
Uses hand tools, such as axes, hand-lines, saws, block and tackle, pruners, etc.</li><li>
Cleans up and disposes of all debris.</li><li>
Sprays brush and stumps, making proper and selective application of herbicides.</li><li>
Trains new personnel.</li></ul><h4 class="jobSectionHeader">
Minimum Qualifications:</h4><ul><li>
Must be 18 years of age or older.</li><li>
Must be familiar with the electrical hazard.</li><li>
Possesses working knowledge and can identify tree and shrub species.</li><li>
