Job Description</b></h1><p>
The Individual &amp; Family Services (IFS) department provides essential support to Autistic adults, parents, caregivers, family members, and professionals seeking information, guidance, and community. The IFS Video Content Specialist is a new, grant-funded, part-time, 8 month position dedicated exclusively to an 8 month initiative to modernize and reorganize AANE&rsquo;s video content library.</p><p>
Working 20 hours per week, the IFS Video Content Specialist will serve as the coordinator for this initiative, ensuring that AANE&rsquo;s educational videos are fully reviewed, edited, updated, organized, and migrated into an accessible, neurodiversity-affirming, and easy-to-navigate system for community use. This position will work closely with the Assistant Director of IFS and AANE&rsquo;s YouTube Team leadership.</p><h1 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>

Responsibilities</b></h1><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Primary Project Responsibilities (80&ndash;85% of hours)</b></h3><p>
As the project coordinator for the video modernization initiative, the IFS Resource Specialist will be responsible for the below. As the project evolves, responsibilities may shift while staying aligned with the overall project initiative.</p><h4 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Platform Assessment, Migration &amp; Organization</b></h4><ul><li><div>
Coordinate the migration of all finalized content.</div></li><li><div>
Organize videos into user-friendly playlists with accurate tagging, SEO descriptions, topic categories, and accessibility metadata.</div></li><li><div>
Ensure appropriate access settings (free vs. paywall) and implement discount-code workflows.</div></li><li><div>
Act as the project coordinator for all migration activities, maintaining timelines, task lists, and communication with the YouTube Team and Marketing and Communications staff.</div></li></ul><h4 class="jobSectionHeader"><b><br>
Video Review &amp; Evaluation</b></h4><p></p><ul><li><div><br>
Review AANE&rsquo;s IFS and supporting video content using a rubric developed between Marketing &amp; IFS.</div></li><li><div>
Identify outdated content, non&ndash;neurodiversity-affirming language, inaccuracies, or duplicative material.</div></li><li><div>
Recommend revisions, removals, consolidations, or the addition of content disclaimers as appropriate.</div></li></ul><h4 class="jobSectionHeader"><b><br>
Video Editing &amp; Accessibility Enhancements</b></h4><p></p><ul><li><div><br>
Edit video files to remove outdated or repetitive content.</div></li><li><div>
Add AANE-branded and approved intro/outro slides, disclaimers, improved captions, updated audio, or other necessary elements.</div></li><li><div>
Ensure full accessibility compliance, including accurate closed captioning, transcripts, clear visual text, and inclusive design.</div></li><li><div>
Perform tagging, metadata cleanup, caption accuracy checks, and description improvements.</div></li></ul><h4 class="jobSectionHeader"><b><br>
Content Management System Development</b></h4><p></p><ul><li><div><br>
In collaboration with AANE&rsquo;s Marketing and Programmatic Teams, develop clear guidelines and best practices for recording, editing, captioning, tagging, organizing, and uploading future content.</div></li><li><div>
Document sustainable, repeatable workflows that staff can follow after the grant period ends.</div></li><li><div>
Create a coherent structure for consistent language, accessibility, metadata standards, and long-term archiving.</div></li><li><div>
Add all updated video links into AANE&rsquo;s internal Knowledge Base.</div></li><li><div>
Tag, categorize, and cross-reference content to improve staff searchability and client support.</div></li><li><div>
Optimize SEO, titles, thumbnails, and descriptions to enhance community engagement.</div></li><li><div>
Collaborate with Marketing staff to integrate refreshed content into newsletters and social media.</div></li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b><br>
Meeting Attendance (15-20% of hours)</b></h3><p></p><ul><li><div><br>
Regular supervision meetings with the Assistant Director of IFS.</div></li><li><div>
Participation in YouTube Team meetings.</div></li><li><div>
IFS Team and other departmental collaboration meetings as needed.</div></li><li><div>

Required:</b></h3><ul><li><div>
Strong basic-to-intermediate skills in video editing and video file management.</div></li><li><div>
Experience using <b>YouTube</b>, <b>Vimeo</b>, or similar content-hosting platforms.</div></li><li><div>
Ability to review long-form educational video content with attention to detail.</div></li><li><div>
Demonstrated commitment to neurodiversity-affirming, strengths-based language.</div></li><li><div>
Strong writing skills for descriptions, disclaimers, SEO text, and metadata.</div></li><li><div>
Ability to manage timelines and coordinate project tasks.</div></li><li><div>

Preferred:</b></h3><ul><li><div>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree or equivalent experience.</div></li><li><div>

Experience with knowledge bases or content management systems.</div></li><li><div>

The project must be completed within 8 months of hiring, with the final stages dedicated to platform migration, documentation, and long-term sustainability planning. Although the position is temporary, the structure created will have long-term impact on AANE&rsquo;s accessibility, reach, and resource quality.</p></div>
