<div>Procurement Data Analyst, Astec Industries, Inc., Chattanooga, TN. Oversee database information pertaining to all aspects of spend, supplier, and costs for site, group, and global formats. Support strategic initiative of corporate procurement group. Categorize sourcing data. Classify items in corporate data warehouse in relation to site and suppliers. Maintain global standardization and consolidation of supplier database. Collaborate with corporate Data and Analytics team. Support corporate personnel in sourcing by administering and managing sourcing software events. Maintain accurate records of agreements, contracts, and MOUs. Restructure data storage to improve on efficiency and accuracy. Integrate data with enterprise databases and analytics teams. 
40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. 
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 
Must have a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, or a related field, plus two (2) years of related work experience in a data analysis role within procurement or logistics. 
Must have two (2) years of experience with/in the following:<div><ul><li> 
Utilizing SQL or Python to analyze complex data sets;</li><li>Analyzing procurement data to identify trends, supplier performance, and cost-saving opportunities using</li></ul>
statistical analysis and descriptive, predictive and trend analysis; 
<ul><li>Conducting data cleansing, data quality, data restructuring, and data warehouse creation; and</li><li>Utilizing PowerBI and DAX to create and maintain dashboards from multiple data sources such as SQL Server,</li></ul>
Microsoft Azure, SharePoint, and CosmosDB.</div><div> 
Must have one (1) year of experience with/in the following: 
<ul><li>Designing web applications using Microsoft Power Apps;</li><li>Applying Microsoft Power Automate for process automation and workflow integration; and</li><li>Creating a global classification of items for use in data warehouses and integration experience using enterprise</li></ul>
databases and analytics.</div> 
Up to 50% Domestic and International travel required.

ABOUT THE POSITION
This critical position is responsible for overseeing the planning and coordination of Astec&rsquo;s inventory and materials department in one of Astec&rsquo;s primary manufacturing sites in North America. This position will work closely with internal operations customers and requires an excellent communicator with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. To excel in this role, a materials manager must have in-depth knowledge of supply chain, budgeting processes and must be a change agent. Ultimately ensures all departments have adequate access to the materials that are needed to execute the master schedule. Executes the organization's overall supply chain vision, policies, objectives, and initiatives. Oversees the organization's operational procurement, inventory, warehousing, and transportation functions. Key driver for aftermarket order fulfillment performance. Actively participates in, as well as directs and coordinates, the activities of personnel engaged in the distribution of raw materials and some finished goods in the organization. Ensures compliance with all applicable requirements and specifications in accordance with company policies, principles, and procedures by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.<ul><li>
Drive operational excellence in supply chain capabilities through execution of the 5-year strategic roadmap.</li><li>
Supports procurement cost savings initiatives through tactical negotiations and alignment with corporate procurement sourcing strategies.</li><li>
Achieve and strategic objectives for inventory levels and turns while minimizing stockouts.
</li><li>Facilitates, Manages and Oversees best in class inventory control processes, maintaining a fully effective cycle count program with a net $ accuracy above 99%.</li><li>
Lead initiatives to ensure at least 95% Fill Rate and 99% On Time Delivery for aftermarket sales.</li><li>
Ensure alignment with vision of company business and growth strategies and effective execution of agreed Global category strategies.</li></ul><ul><li> Recommend and implement solutions to existing materials movement processes to reduce waste and increase quality and efficiency.</li><li> Coordinate the implementation of best-in-class materials management processes, coaching, mentoring, and training local Teams to achieve highest standards of operational efficiency</li></ul><ul><li>
Oversee the material control, storage, transportation, and delivery of all company raw materials, purchased items and internally fabricated products.</li><li>
Track key metrics and measure to gauge the success of the function.</li><li>
Responsible for leading a team to place orders within lead time, expedite if necessary to meet on time delivery expectations minimizing disruption to manufacturing.
</li><li>Assimilate, report and speak regularly to management and others about shortages and process improvements.</li><li>
Work closely with the Operational Leads (Tactical Buyer) and Material Planning organization to ensure alignment and effective execution of the master schedule</li></ul><div></div> 
To be successful in this role, your experience and competencies are:<ul><li> BS or BA degree required and Advanced University Degree (Master&rsquo;s Degree or equivalent) preferred in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field.
</li><li> ASCM or APICS certification as CSCP, CPIM, CLTD, ISM certification, desired</li><li> 5+ years&rsquo; progressive experience in Materials Management, preferably for large global/multinational, process driven companies, building and optimizing programs across diverse teams and cultures
</li><li> Demonstrated leadership capabilities</li><li> Ability to work within a global matrix organization</li><li> Manufacturing operations experience preferred</li><li> Oracle ERP use and expertise preferred</li></ul> 
Supervisor and Leadership Expectations
Directly manages 5-10 direct reports ranging from cycle counters, material coordinators and buyer/planners.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Office
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to risk of injury in an office environment and occasionally a manufacturing shop plant environment. Manufacturing Environment
Shop manufacturing environment exposures include exposure to moving mechanical parts, machinery, tools and equipment, vibration, fumes or airborne particles, motorized vehicles, welding and machining operations, outside weather conditions and exposure to the risk of electric shock. The employee may occasionally be exposed to varying levels of dirt, dust, toxic or caustic chemicals, very warm and/or very chilly temperatures. The noise level in the shop can be very loud at times consistent with an industrial assembly facility and may require hearing protection.
