Position Summary</p><p>
Astro Digital is seeking an experienced and dynamic Supply Chain &amp; Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead procurement, materials planning, and logistics operations across spacecraft production programs. This role will be instrumental in developing and executing Astro Digital&rsquo;s system-level MRP and supply chain strategy while managing a growing team of buyers, planners, and Production Control.</p><p>
The ideal candidate will combine technical acumen, strategic sourcing experience, and hands-on leadership to establish scalable processes that enable efficient production and continuous improvement.</p><p>
Primary Duties &amp; Responsibilities</p><p>
Leadership &amp; Strategy</p><ul><li>
Lead the full supply chain organization, including procurement, planning, inventory, and logistics functions.</li><li>
Build and refine processes for MRP, supplier management, and material flow.</li><li>
Develop team capabilities and KPIs to support production and company growth.</li></ul><p>
Procurement &amp; Supplier Management</p><ul><li>
Oversee material demand generation and purchasing from engineering BOMs.</li><li>
Negotiate supplier pricing, lead times, and contractual terms.</li><li>
Establish long-term sourcing strategies and manage key supplier relationships.</li></ul><p>
Planning &amp; Material Readiness</p><ul><li>
Ensure alignment between material planning, production schedules, and integration timelines.</li><li>
Manage ERP-driven MRP operations (Odoo or similar) for accuracy and efficiency.</li><li>
Track and mitigate supply risks for critical hardware.</li></ul><p>
Inventory &amp; Logistics Oversight</p><ul><li>
Direct inbound/outbound material handling, kitting, and inventory control.</li><li>
Maintain cleanroom material compliance, traceability, and audit readiness.</li><li>
Oversee outbound shipping, logistics coordination, and export documentation.</li></ul><p>
Continuous Improvement</p><ul><li>
Standardize and document supply chain procedures.</li><li>
Implement process and system improvements to enhance traceability, cost control, and scalability.</li></ul><p>
Minimum Qualifications</p><ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field.</li><li>
5+ years of Leadership experience in procurement, supply chain, or materials management in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.</li><li>
Demonstrated experience with ERP/MRP systems (Odoo, SAP, Oracle, etc.).</li><li>
Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.</li><li>
Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.</li><li>
U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent resident status required per export control regulations.</li></ul><p>
Preferred Qualifications</p><ul><li>
Experience supporting satellite, aerospace, or cleanroom-based manufacturing.</li><li>
Technical Knowledge of Satellite and electrical systems.</li><li>
Demonstrated success developing sourcing strategies and supplier partnerships.</li><li>
Familiarity with government export control regulations (ITAR/EAR).</li></ul><p>
Work Location</p><p>
