If you are passionate about healthcare administration and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this opportunity is perfect for you to make a meaningful impact every day.Duties<ul><li>Review and verify medical records, ensuring accuracy of documentation for billing purposes</li><li>Assign appropriate codes using CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9, ICD-10, and DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group) systems to facilitate precise claims submission</li><li>Prepare and submit healthcare claims electronically using specialized billing software and EMR/EHR (Electronic Medical Records/Electronic Health Records) systems</li><li>Follow up on unpaid or denied claims by communicating with insurance providers and patients to resolve discrepancies</li><li>Maintain detailed records of medical billing activities, including payment histories and correspondence</li><li>Ensure compliance with healthcare claims management regulations and insurance guidelines</li><li>Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation requirements and improve coding accuracy</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Proven experience in medical office administration or medical billing, with familiarity using billing software and EMR/EHR systems</li><li>Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and medical coding standards including CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10, ICD coding, DRG, and healthcare claims management</li><li>Excellent customer service skills to assist patients with billing inquiries and insurance questions</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for documentation and reporting purposes</li><li>Understanding of health insurance policies, benefits verification, and medical collections processes</li><li>Ability to interpret complex medical data accurately while adhering to privacy regulations</li><li>Prior experience working with medical coding (medical coding certification preferred) and health insurance procedures is highly desirable</li></ul>Embrace this opportunity to advance your career in healthcare administration by leveraging your coding expertise, attention to detail, and commitment to excellent service.
