This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, fine dining environment while contributing to a lively nightlife scene.Responsibilities<ul><li>Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, ensuring a smooth flow of service.</li><li>Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Toast, and communicate orders effectively to kitchen staff.</li><li>Provide detailed menu descriptions, recommend specials, and upsell items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.</li><li>Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.</li><li>Monitor guest needs throughout their visit, responding quickly to requests for additional items or assistance.</li><li>Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while maintaining accountability for all sales.</li><li>Uphold food safety and sanitation standards by following proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols.</li><li>Assist with bussing tables, cleaning service areas, and supporting kitchen staff during busy periods.</li><li>Utilize reservation systems like OpenTable to manage bookings efficiently and maximize seating capacity.</li><li>Build rapport with guests to foster repeat business through excellent customer service and guest relations.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably with fine dining or nightlife experience.</li><li>Familiarity with POS systems such as toast.</li><li>Strong knowledge of food handling, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations.</li><li>Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally.</li><li>Demonstrated ability in upselling techniques to boost sales while enhancing guest experience.</li><li>Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.</li><li>Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and billing procedures.</li><li>Experience in serving at nightclubs or high-energy venues is advantageous but not required.</li><li>Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.</li><li>A positive attitude with a passion for hospitality, guest service, and creating memorable experiences.
