PURPOSE The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all supply chain activities within a food manufacturing environment. This role ensures the timely, cost-effective, and compliant flow of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods from suppliers through production and distribution, while maintaining food safety, quality, and regulatory standards.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.Strategic Planning &amp; Execution<ul><li>Develop and execute supply chain strategies to meet business goals, including OTIF (On Time In Full) and SIOP (Sales, Inventory &amp; Operations Planning) targets.</li><li>Lead demand forecasting, inventory planning, and replenishment strategies across all SKUs.</li></ul>Production Planning &amp; Inventory<ul><li>Create and manage production schedules, in collaboration with Production Manager and based on sales forecasts and inventory, to ensure demand is met while managing raw material and finished goods inventory levels.</li><li>Establish and manage inventory policies (Min/Max, safety stock) in NAV to balance service levels, working capital, and waste reduction.</li><li>Monitor and analyze Days on Hand (DOH) for both finished goods and raw materials, identifying trends to improve inventory management and reduce waste.</li></ul>Procurement &amp; Vendor Management<ul><li>Source, evaluate, and manage suppliers to ensure reliable supply, competitive cost, and quality compliance.</li><li>Establish and maintain strong vendor relationships to support continuity of supply and favorable commercial terms.</li><li>Negotiate contracts and service-level agreements with key vendors.</li><li>Create and manage purchase orders to support planned production schedule.</li><li>Drive cost-reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing, competitive bidding, and supplier performance management.</li></ul>Data &amp; Reporting<ul><li>Monitor KPIs such as OTIF, inventory turnover, DOH, supplier performance, forecast accuracy, and order fulfillment accuracy.</li><li>Identify trends, risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement.</li></ul>Compliance &amp; Quality<ul><li>Ensure all supply chain activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.</li><li>Partner with quality teams to quickly address supplier or product quality concerns.</li></ul>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS listed below are indicative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to be successful in this position.Supply Chain knowledge:Experience and knowledge across the various functions/processes of a manufacturing business (e.g., Sales, Operations, Finance).ERP &amp; EDI knowledge:<ul><li>Experience and knowledge maintaining/supporting ERP systems to maximize business value including delivering reports/analytics to improve decision-making.</li></ul>Technical knowledge:<ul><li>Knowledge/experience with Microsoft Office Suite applications, Active Directory, File systems, Windows Server, SQL, etc.</li></ul>Continuous Improvement:<ul><li>Proven track record of adding value to a business via process improvement and leveraging technology.</li></ul>Analytical/Problem-Solving skills:<ul><li>Ability to analyze complex problems, identify root-cause issues, and design cost-effective solutions.</li></ul>Communication skills:<ul><li>Effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.</li></ul>Resourcefulness:<ul><li>Ability to operate as a leader/doer, &ldquo;rolling up sleeves&rdquo; to fully leverage own skills as well as collaboratively leveraging every person in the organization.</li></ul>Education, Training and/or Experience<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field.</li><li>Minimum five years of business process improvement and ERP experience (ideally with NAV).</li></ul>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>Experience in the Food Processing / Manufacturing industry.</li></ul>PHYSICAL DEMANDS described here are representative of those that must be routinely met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties of this position. Majority of work performed in a general office environment.Responsibilities<ul><li>Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with company goals.</li><li>Oversee logistics, procurement, and inventory management to ensure timely delivery of products.</li><li>Utilize ERP systems such as SAP ERP and Oracle EBS for effective supply chain planning and execution.</li><li>Conduct demand planning and production planning to meet customer requirements.</li><li>Analyze supply chain performance metrics using tools like Tableau, Power BI, and SQL to identify areas for improvement.</li><li>Lead process improvement initiatives using Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing, Kaizen, and other methodologies.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance supply chain analytics and root cause analysis.</li><li>Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure quality procurement practices.</li><li>Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards in all supply chain activities.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field; Master&rsquo;s degree preferred.</li><li>Proven experience in supply chain management or logistics roles.</li><li>Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP ERP, Oracle EBS) and MRP software.</li><li>Strong analytical skills with experience in supply chain analytics tools (Tableau, Power BI).</li><li>Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean).</li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis.</li><li>Strong communication and leadership abilities to manage teams effectively.</li><li>Familiarity with inventory management practices and demand planning techniques.
