We&rsquo;re looking for a proactive, culturally plugged-in Digital Content Creator to join our team. This is a hands-on, high-output role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can consistently deliver engaging content on a weekly cadence.
You&rsquo;ll be responsible for bringing the Athletic brand to life across digital platforms &mdash; concepting, shooting, editing, and publishing compelling content that drives awareness, engagement, and brand love. The ideal candidate is equal parts storyteller and executor: someone who doesn&rsquo;t wait for direction, spots opportunities in real time, and turns ideas into scroll-stopping content quickly.
Job Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Content Creation &amp; Storytelling<ul><li>
Own a consistent weekly content output cadence across priority channels (social, digital, email, web).</li><li>
Concept, shoot, and edit short-form and mid-form video content as well as static assets using mobile and lightweight production tools.</li><li>
Move fluidly from ideation production publishing &mdash; often within the same day.</li><li>
Capture real-time brand moments, community stories, partnerships, and cultural trends.</li><li>
Maintain brand voice, tone, and visual consistency across all platforms.</li></ul></li><li>
Creative Innovation &amp; Trendspotting<ul><li>
Stay ahead of platform trends, emerging formats, and creator best practices.</li><li>
Pitch fresh, innovative content ideas weekly to keep Athletic culturally relevant</li><li>
Experiment with new storytelling approaches, formats, and features to elevate brand presence.</li></ul></li><li>
Strategy &amp; Performance<ul><li>
Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to align content with campaigns, products, and brand initiatives</li><li>
Analyze performance metrics and optimize content based on insights and KPIs</li><li>
Contribute meaningfully to content calendars with forward-thinking ideas and reactive cultural moments.</li></ul></li><li>

Desired Experience/ Traits
Who You Are:<ul><li>
A proactive self-starter who takes ownership and consistently delivers high-quality weekly output</li><li>
A strong visual storyteller with a deep understanding of what makes audiences stop scrolling.</li><li>
Comfortable being scrappy - shooting on iPhone or lightweight tools, and editing content quickly without sacrificing quality.</li><li>
Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.</li><li>
Energized by feedback and motivated to continuously improve your craft.</li><li>
A collaborative team player who communicates clearly and brings positive, high-integrity energy to the team.</li><li>
Comfortable being on-camera or directing on-camera talent.</li></ul>
Skills and Experience:<ul><li>
2-5 years of experience in content creation, social media or a related field, preferably working with consumer lifestyle and/or beverage brands.</li><li>
Proven experience creating and editing short-form video content for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.</li><li>
Proficiency with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, CapCut, or similar tools).</li><li>
Strong understanding of social trends, audience engagement strategies, and platform nuances.</li><li>
Experience in analyzing content performance and applying insights to future creative.</li><li>
Experience working within established brand guidelines.</li><li>
Portfolio of representative work required.</li></ul>
Job Details<ul><li>
Full-time position based out of our brewery in San Diego, CA. Required in-office 4 days/week.</li><li>
Base Salary: $70,000 to $80,000 - commensurate with experience</li><li>
Bonus: Eligible for discretionary annual bonus up to 10% of base pay.</li><li>
Benefits: Company-paid health, vision, dental, life, 401k with 5% company match, and Paid Parental Leave</li><li>
