Who we are looking for:
We are currently looking for a Day Shift Maintenance Tech to be based out of the Weatherford location. Reporting to the Maintenance Lead, the Maintenance Technician I/II primary focus will be to support production and quality by ensuring proper operation of equipment. This will include performing preventative maintenance on machinery, locating root cause of problems in a safe and efficient manner to reduce downtime, and being able to operate power equipment and tools. 


What you&rsquo;ll do:
Additional Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
<ul>
<li>Maintain, repair, improve, and possibly modify and build machines to aid and improve the process of the manufacture of PVC pipe products.</li>
<li>Abide by all Company rules, regulations, policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Ensure safe and operable condition of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing PM&rsquo;s requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines per manufacturer&rsquo;s instructions</li>
<li>Locate source of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation: listening for problems: using precision measuring and testing instruments</li>
<li>Remove and repair defective parts; use of cranes, hoists and hand tools</li>
<li>Control downtime by informing production or routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance</li>
<li>Fabricate repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment, welders, and cutting torch</li>
<li>Align motor/gearbox coupling with laser alignment tool</li>
<li>Perform routine equipment checks</li>
<li>Locate sources of problems by observing equipment in operation</li>
<li>Assist in Changeovers, line setup, startups, and shutdowns; to minimize downtime</li>
<li>Maintain and repair the equipment used to manufacture, package, convey, store, and/ormanipulate PVC conduit; consisting of but not limited to:</li>
<li>Electric motors (AC/DC).</li>
<li>Water pumps.</li>
<li>Vacuum pumps.</li>
<li>Gear motors/boxes.</li>
<li>PVC pipe belling equipment.</li>
<li>100+hp air compressors.</li>
<li>Water Chillers.</li>
<li>Fork trucks.</li>
<li>Automatic cutting equipment (saws).</li>
<li>Vacuum and blown material conveying systems.</li>
<li>PVC pipe granulators.</li>
<li>Maplan and Cincinnati extruders.</li>
<li>Electric heating bands.</li>
<li>Littleford Mixing Machines.</li>
<li>Pneumatic cylinders and solenoids.</li>
<li>Maintain and repair the building and offices</li>
</ul>
What you&rsquo;ll bring:
<ul><li>Minimum educational requirement is high school diploma, or equivalent.</li>
<li>Must have strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.</li>

We are currently looking for a Category Manager to be based out of our Corporate Headquarters in Harvey, IL. Reporting to the Senior Commodity Manager, this person will be responsible for applying strategic sourcing expertise and providing hands-on process improvements using a combination of purchasing, negotiating and supply chain skill sets to support our Business Systems key performance indicators of Quality, Delivery, Cost and Innovation.

The Category Manager will interface heavily with external suppliers, internal manufacturing, engineering, and sales team members to improve inventory performance, cost, delivery, quality, and lead time. The Category Manager requires extensive experience in all phases of Procurement and Contract Management in support of Manufacturing and Corporate Indirect Category Management. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of MRP concepts, Inventory Control, and a deep understanding of supply chain dynamics. The incumbent analyzes production requirements and implements procurement strategies to ensure cost savings across throughout the organization. This position will also identify and develop new sources of supply and new/alternative materials in support of the multiple business units.

This role will lead the strategic efforts toward the achievement of the Strategic Plan objectives, with a strong emphasis on cost reduction. The Category Manager in the Corporate Procurement team will participate in the promotion and facilitation of events supporting the entire value chain. This position is a highly visible role that will focus on key cross functional processes and system improvements allowing us to accelerate the standardization, stability, and simplification in the manufacturing and supply chain processes.

What you&rsquo;ll do:

<li>Provide technical writing resources to ensure accurate work instructions are developed and maintained.</li>
<li>Ensure that all corporate and regulatory safety requirements are covered in the training materials.</li>
<li>Develop and conduct training for new associates.</li>
<li>Work closely with leadership to ensure all processes are accurate, documented and updated properly.</li>

<li>Assist managing an efficient team that delivers Atkore&rsquo;s strategy.</li>
<li>Be an expert in Indirect Category Management and sourcing of services.</li>
<li>Develop new domestic and global supply sources as needed, and pro-actively identify potential future sources to be evaluated and qualified.</li>
<li>Evaluate supply chain opportunities by working with Global Purchasing Groups (GPO) to leverage category spend to delivery savings.</li>
