Summary/Objective:
The Virtual Design Steel Detailers position is responsible for generating models and fabrication drawings for our commercial and industrial construction projects. The candidate should already possess moderate to advanced structural steel manufacturing knowledge, to include materials, shop fabrication, and field installation practices.
Essential Functions:<ul><li>
Reviews Project scope, design drawings, equipment submittals, and specifications for clarification and conflicts/questions in preparation for modeling and detailing.</li><li>
Works at times directly with customers, engineers and designers, and other departments to convey issues and solutions for projects.
</li><li>Adheres to applicable codes and company design standards to include current AISC standard practices.
</li><li>Generates structural steel models and detailed drawings for our commercial and industrial group to include but not limited to structures, catwalks, platforms, stairs, ladders, railings, and supports using current modeling and detailing software.</li><li>
Generates documentation required for but not limited to planning, purchasing, fabrication, lifting, and installation (Drawings and BOM's)</li><li>
Generates electronic files necessary for but not limited to manufacturing such as a Python beam line and Plasma table (CNC, Nest Files, and Workorders)</li><li>
Reviews and revises drawings based on engineering and coordination comments, fabrication needs, and field conditions.</li><li>
Assist shop and field personnel with questions and extra details as necessary to include some training</li></ul>
Supervisory Responsibility: No
Required:<ul><li>
5+ years (Senior 10+ years) of fabrication experience in a shop, field and/or leadership setting within the structural steel environment</li><li>
Comprehension and ability to read structural steel drawings</li><li>
Excellent math and geometry skills</li><li>
Possess a willingness to grow with the job and teambuilding
</li><li>Good understanding of AWS welding symbols</li><li>
Proficient in general computer equipment</li><li>
(Senior) Experience with SDS/2, Tekla, or equivalent software for modeling and manufacturing.</li><li>
Able to make site visits for information gathering, coordination, and routing solutions.</li><li>
Must be able to pass post-offer pre-employment drug screen, and may be required to satisfactorily pass additional background checks as required (DMV, Criminal History)</li><li>
Must adhere to company policies and procedures</li><li>
Must be available to work assigned schedules</li><li>
Willing to make site visits to perform field verification as required.</li></ul>

May be required to work in confined spaces or from high heights</li><li>

Physical Demands:<ul><li>
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopier, filing cabinets and fax machines.
</li><li>Site visits will require walking through existing buildings, industrial plants and/or on-going construction sites. This will involve stairs and at times ladders on multiple floors/levels.
</li><li>This role at times, may use construction equipment such as heavy machinery, hand and power tools</li><li>
While performing duties of the job, the employee may work aloft, climb, bend, pulling reach overhead, stand/walk for long period of times, and lift up to 50 lbs</li><li>
Must be able to correctly identify all colors of a color-coded cable/wires and see close vision, depth perception, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus</li></ul>

Summary/Objective:
Responsible for utilizing Revit and Computer Aided Design (CAD) and various software to model, coordinate and prepare detailed install, spool and other drawings for HVAC air systems.
Essential Functions:<ul><li>
Generates sheet metal models using the designated project specifications, design drawings and models, control diagrams, submittals, RFI's, and modeling software</li><li>
Incorporates and manages current updates to drawings, models, specifications, RFI's, change orders, and submittals as the project progresses</li><li>
Develops full sets of construction &quot;shop&quot; drawings, &quot;field&quot; drawings, &quot;spool&quot; drawings, and more</li><li>
Completes drawing/ modeling including: model preparation, some modeling, piece numbering, annotating, dimensioning, and spooling</li><li>
Manages time and multiple projects in a fast pace deadline environment</li><li>
Generates and communicates information for RFI's specific to the projects and trade</li><li>
Generates and manages spools, drawings for prefabrication, site installation/map drawings, and control documentation</li><li>
Performs other duties as assigned</li></ul>

Required:<ul><li>
3+ years of related experience and/or training using at least one of Autodesk 2016 or greater products; or equivalent combination of education and experience (preferably in a construction environment)

Collaborates with the build and design team to eliminate construction errors due to design flaws</li><li>
Manages time and multiple projects in a fast pace deadline environment</li><li>
Works with trades, project management, site superintendents, and shop personnel to identify problems and help make informed decisions</li><li>
Generates and communicates information for RFI's specific to the projects and trade</li><li>
Generates and manages spools, drawings for prefabrication, site installation/map drawings, and control documentation</li><li>
Performs other duties as assigned</li></ul> 
Supervisory Responsibility: No 
Required:<ul><li>
5-7 years of experience in the mechanical piping and process pipe trade and/or equivalent combination of vocational training OR 5+ years of BIM experience using Revit, Fabrication of CAD MEP, and Navisworks Manage</li><li>
Must be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail and demonstrate problem-solving skills</li><li>
