Overview: Medical AssistantWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join Atlantic Medical Group with Dr. Ibegbu. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing quality patient care and assisting healthcare professionals in various clinical and administrative tasks. This is a paid position with opportunities for growth and development.Responsibilities: - Perform patient intake procedures, including measuring vital signs, documenting medical history, and verifying medication lists - Assist healthcare providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments - Administer injections and medications as directed by healthcare professionals - Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness and availability of necessary supplies - Perform basic laboratory tests, such as blood draws and specimen collection - Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records in an electronic health record system - Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions, addressing concerns, and ensuring patient comfort - Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient careQualifications: - Completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent training - Current certification as a Medical Assistant preferred - Proficiency in medical terminology and documentation - Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, and medical procedures - Experience working in various clinical settings such as internal medicine, geriatrics, or hospital medicine is a plus - Knowledge of coding and billing processes is desirable - Basic life support certification is required - Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionalsPlease note that all positions at our organization are paid positions.
