Overview:AHR is a well-established law firm seeking a proactive and organized Legal Assistant to support attorneys in a variety of litigation matters. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative and communication skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and a commitment to maintaining accuracy and professionalism in a fast-paced legal environment.The candidate must track deadlines, court dates, and manage calendars for assigned attorneys.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Provide administrative and clerical support to attorneys across a range of litigation cases</li><li>Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents including correspondence, discovery, pleadings, and authorizations</li><li>File legal documents with state and federal courts, including e-filing</li><li>Maintain and organize case files, both electronically and in hard copy</li><li>Schedule depositions, hearings, client meetings, and other case-related events</li><li>Track deadlines, court dates, and manage calendars for assigned attorneys</li><li>Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, medical offices, and opposing counsel</li><li>Request and follow up on records, supporting documentation, and related materials</li><li>Assist in preparing trial notebooks and hearing binders</li><li>Assist attorneys by preparing and sending client invoices on time.</li><li>Ensure case management systems are updated accurately and timely</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Minimum of 4 years of experience in a legal assistant or legal secretary role, preferably in a litigation setting</li><li>Strong working knowledge of legal procedures and terminology</li><li>Familiarity with Texas court rules and electronic filing systems</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software</li><li>Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail</li><li>Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks with competing deadlines</li><li>Professional demeanor with excellent written and verbal communication skills</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>Experience working in litigation matters</li><li>Familiarity with billing practices and law firm procedures</li></ul>Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience.
