Position Summary (Hybrid / Remote / On LocationThe Estimator prepares accurate, competitive cost estimates for commercial signage projects by reviewing drawings, specifications, bid documents, and customer requirements. This role evaluates material, labor, equipment, subcontractor, freight, and installation costs and partners with Engineering, Purchasing, Production, and Project Management to ensure each estimate is complete, feasible, and aligned with company profitability goals.Essential Duties and Responsibilities&middot; Review architectural plans, customer specifications, bid packages, sign schedules, site plans, elevations, and related documents to define project scope and requirements.&middot; Prepare detailed estimates for interior and exterior signage, monument signs, channel letters, cabinet signs, directional and wayfinding systems, ADA signage, and digital displays, as applicable.&middot; Calculate costs for materials, fabrication labor, finishing, electrical components, freight, equipment, subcontracted services, and installation.&middot; Determine labor hours, production requirements, and installation resources based on project complexity and schedule.&middot; Obtain and evaluate pricing from vendors, subcontractors, and installers to support competitive and reliable bids.&middot; Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Purchasing, and Project Management to confirm constructability, manufacturing feasibility, lead times, and capacity.&middot; Identify estimating risks, cost-saving opportunities, and pricing considerations that support margin goals.&middot; Maintain current pricing data for materials, labor, freight, equipment, and vendor services.&middot; Participate in bid reviews and project handoff meetings to communicate assumptions, exclusions, risks, and cost drivers.&middot; Prepare pricing for change orders, revisions, alternates, and value-engineering options.&middot; Maintain organized estimate files, supporting documentation, and bid history.&middot; Monitor industry trends, supplier changes, materials, and technologies that may affect estimating accuracy and efficiency.Required Skills and Competencies&middot; Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.&middot; High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organization.&middot; Ability to prioritize and manage multiple bids, revisions, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.&middot; Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general business software; experience with estimating or ERP systems is a plus.&middot; Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain assumptions and cost drivers.&middot; Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments.Preferred Industry Knowledge<ul><li>Commercial sign manufacturing processes</li><li>LED illumination and electrical sign components</li><li>Aluminum fabrication</li><li>Structural and mounting requirements</li><li>Acrylic and polycarbonate materials</li><li>Installation equipment and field labor</li><li>Vinyl graphics and digital printing</li><li>Permitting and code considerations</li></ul>Key Performance Indicators&middot; Estimate accuracy and completeness&middot; Bid turnaround time and on-time submission rate&middot; Gross profit performance on awarded projects&middot; Bid win ratio&middot; accuracy and quality of project handoff documentation&middot; Internal and external stakeholder satisfactionWork Environment / Physical Requirements&middot; Primarily an office-based position within a manufacturing environment.&middot; Occasional exposure to production and fabrication areas; appropriate personal protective equipment may be required.&middot; Limited travel to customer locations or project sites may be required.&middot; Ability to occasionally visit manufacturing areas and project sites, including walking or standing for limited periods.Benefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Employee assistance program</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: Hybrid remote in Riviera Beach, FL 33404
