POSITION SUMMARY: 
This position will have responsibilities in key areas such as published clinical science literature reviews, synthesis and summarization of clinical data endpoints, medical writing and copyediting, and scientific content creation and review. The ideal candidate will possess strong critical thinking skills, effective written and verbal communication skills, and careful attention to accuracy and details. We’re seeking someone who is self-motivated, proactive, enjoys working in a collaborative environment, and intellectually curious, with a desire to learn.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION: 
<ul>
<li>Perform clinical science literature reviews using search engines such as Google Scholar, PubMed, and Embase</li>
<li>Collect, summarize, and communicate published clinical data endpoints such as safety and effectiveness with accuracy</li>
<li>Assist with medical writing and copyediting of manuscripts and congress abstracts under the direction of senior team members</li>
<li>Assist with scientific content creation and editing such as posters and slide decks under the direction of senior team members</li>
<li>Verbal and written follow-up with external and internal stakeholders on project deliverables</li>
</ul>

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: 
<ul>
<li>Pursuing or admitted to a bachelor’s degree in biology, biomedical engineering, other life science, or closely related discipline or equivalent industry experience.</li>
<li>Proficient in the use of Microsoft 365 applications (i.e. Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, & PowerPoint)</li>
<li>Ability and accountability to attend virtual meetings through Microsoft Teams or similar platforms</li>
<li>Experience with using clinical science article search engines such as Pubmed to review literature</li>
<li>Ability to effectively present and discuss findings in tabular or slide format to team members</li>
<li>Strong scientific writing and editing skills</li>
</ul>
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Position Summary: 
The Clinical Research Associate II (CRA II) at AtriCure is a critical role within the Clinical Affairs department, responsible for site management and/or monitoring activities during clinical trial execution. This position involves working under moderate supervision to ensure compliance with study protocols and regulatory standards. The CRA II plays a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of clinical data while adapting to the dynamic needs of different studies.
 
Key Responsibilities:Site Management: 
<ul>
<li>Coordinate the collection and review of essential documents from clinical investigation sites in collaboration with study team personnel.</li>
<li>Support site Qualification, Initiation, Interim and Close-Out training visits.</li>
<li>Assist with scheduling of required training sessions (e.g., EDC, Protocol, Device) and support site nomination and qualification processes.</li>
</ul>
Site Communications: 
<ul>
<li>Serve as the main point of contact for site communications and inquiries.</li>
<li>Liaise with clinical study management, clinical development, site personnel, and CROs, escalating protocol or study related issues as necessary.</li>
</ul>
Compliance: 
<ul>
<li>Ensure clinical study sites adhere to assigned study protocols and regulatory standards, notifying study management of any concerns.</li>
</ul>
Data Management: 
<ul>
<li>Review and analyze data for accuracy and completeness.</li>
<li>Manage the creation, resolution, and tracking of data queries.</li>
</ul>
Monitoring: 
<ul>
<li>Conduct site monitoring visits (qualification, initiation, interim, and close-out) to ensure adherence to study procedures and regulatory requirements.</li>
</ul>
Safety: 
<ul>
<li>Process product complaints and adverse events as reported, collaborating with safety specialists to gather necessary materials for CEC meetings.</li>
</ul>
Study Management: 
<ul>
<li>Assist in the development of study-related materials, including patient recruitment materials and newsletters.</li>
<li>Facilitate ordering of clinical study devices, including verification and tracking of the devices to ensure proper receipt and storage at study sites</li>
<li>Coordinate activities with study-specific committees, vendor services, and core labs.</li>
</ul>

<li>Contribute to process improvement initiatives and department activities.</li>

This position requires a high level of autonomy and leadership, providing guidance to junior team members and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and protocols. The Sr. CRA is instrumental in maintaining the integrity of clinical data and adapting to evolving study needs.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION: 
Site Management
 <ul>
<li>Coordinate the collection and review of essential documents from clinical investigation sites in collaboration with study team personnel.</li>
<li>Conduct Site Qualification, Initiation, Interim and Close-Out training visits.</li>

<li>Support development of data cleaning reports and metrics in collaboration with data and operations management teams.</li>

Monitoring
 <ul>
<li>Conduct site monitoring visits (qualification, initiation, interim, and close-out) to ensure adherence to study procedures and regulatory requirements.</li>
<li>Assist in reviewing peer interim monitoring visit (IMV) reports.</li>
</ul>
Safety
 <ul>
<li>Manage the processing of product complaints and adverse events, collaborating with safety specialists to gather materials for CEC meetings.</li>
</ul>
Study Management
 <ul>
<li>Draft study-related materials, such as patient brochures and recruitment tools.</li>
<li>Support the coordination of activities with study-specific committees, vendor services, and core labs.</li>
</ul>
Leadership and Development
 <ul>
<li>Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering a collaborative environment.</li>
