The Acquisitions Manager drives the full integration of new store acquisitions- aligning people, systems, and operations with Aubuchon&rsquo;s culture and standards. As a trusted change leader and brand ambassador, this role manages pre-close planning through post-acquisition stabilization, partnering across teams to ensure smooth transitions that preserve sales, service, and team engagement. This role supports 3&ndash;10 stores across the Eastern U.S., currently from Maine to Virginia, and may extend into new states as Aubuchon continues to expand. * What You&rsquo;ll Do*: * Acquisition &amp; Integration* <ul><li>Lead operational due diligence for new store acquisitions (staffing, training, inventory, safety, and facilities).</li><li>Assess local product lines, vendor partnerships, and B2B/Pro relationships.</li><li>Build and manage integration plans across People, Systems, Merchandising, Sales, and Brand teams.</li><li>Coordinate with IT and Operations for seamless system cutovers and onboarding.</li><li>Act as a brand ambassador- building trust, aligning culture, and ensuring operational readiness.</li></ul>* Financial &amp; Sales Leadership* <ul><li>Partner with the VP of Sales to achieve growth in sales, expenses, and EBITDA.</li><li>Guide Store Leaders in annual sales/payroll budgeting using performance benchmarks.</li><li>Analyze trends and develop plans to drive sales, customer count, and loyalty engagement.</li><li>Grow B2B and community partnerships through local marketing and outreach.</li></ul>* Operations &amp; Merchandising* <ul><li>Ensure operational excellence-task execution, communication tools, and visual standards.</li><li>Manage inventory health, pricing accuracy, and shrink controls.</li><li>Collaborate with Support Center teams to implement new merchandising and pilot programs.</li></ul>* Talent &amp; Team Development* <ul><li>Partner with HR to hire, train, and retain strong Store Leaders and teams.</li><li>Support learning paths, certifications, and leadership development programs.</li><li>Coach for performance, succession, and engagement while upholding company values.</li><li>Maintain compliance with all safety, payroll, and policy standards.</li></ul>Work Experience <ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Business, Retail Management, or equivalent experience preferred.</li><li>5+ years of retail operations and merchandising leadership experience.</li><li>Flexible schedule with ability to travel up to 75%, including overnight stays.</li><li>Proven ability to drive sales, manage shrink, and improve safety performance.</li><li>Strong leadership, customer service, and organizational skills with a professional, positive presence.</li><li>Skilled in problem-solving, decision-making, and influencing cross-functional teams.</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license and clean motor vehicle record.</li><li>Ability to pass a background check and annual motor vehicle record check.</li><li>Must be comfortable working in an animal-friendly environment (accommodations available upon request).</li></ul>Benefits <ul><li>401(k) with Match Program &ndash; Available Day 1</li><li>PTO Awards starting at 80 hours and increases with tenure</li><li>11 Paid Holidays</li><li>Medical, Vision, Dental Insurance</li><li>Company Funded &ndash; HSA/HRA Program</li><li>Short Term Disability</li><li>Company Paid Life Insurance</li><li>Wellness Program &ndash; Earn $300 annually</li><li>Team Member Assistance Program and Fund</li><li>Discounted Pet Health Insurance</li><li>Gym Reimbursement</li><li>Tuition Reimbursement Program</li><li>Training and Growth Opportunities</li><li>Team Member Discounts at all locations</li><li>Company Discount Program for Tickets, Electronics, Vacations, and more!</li><li>Pay Ranges from $65,000 to $80,000 - aligned with your experience and expertise.</li></ul>The Aubuchon Company is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
