This role builds on foundational store responsibilities by adding leadership, operational oversight, and advanced technical expertise. As a key holder, this position plays a crucial role in store opening and closing, enforcing safety protocols, and mentoring team members. <li>Offer advanced product knowledge, guiding customers through complex projects and recommending complete solutions.</li>
<li>Actively seek out opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products to enhance customer satisfaction and meet sales goals.</li>
<li>Promote the loyalty program, in-store events, and monthly promotions to increase customer engagement.</li>
<li>Handle escalated customer concerns professionally, resolving issues or escalating to management as needed.</li>
<li>Accurately process sales and returns using the POS system.</li>
<li>Manage cash handling processes, including deposits, drawer reconciliation, and safe counts.</li>
<li>Train, mentor, and guide Sales Associates/Cashiers on operational processes, customer service, and product knowledge.</li>
<li>Perform hands-on tasks such as filling propane, cutting keys and glass, repairing screens, and operating forklifts.</li>
<li>Maintain inventory levels and assist with restocking to keep a clean, organized, and fully stocked sales floor.</li>
<li>Fulfill online orders promptly and accurately, ensuring customer satisfaction with in-store and curbside pickups.</li>
<li>Assemble products for in-store displays and customer orders.</li>
<li>Identify and address safety concerns, ensuring a secure environment for customers and associates.</li>
<li>Adhere to all company policies, safety regulations (OSHA, state-mandated), and Aubuchon’s Core Values.</li>
</ul>
Key Holder Responsibilities
 
<ul>
<li>Open and close the store, ensuring all security and safety procedures are followed.</li>
<li>Serve as Leader on Duty (LOD), overseeing daily store operations in the absence of store leadership.</li>
<li>Manage daily key tasks, ensuring timely follow-ups and updates within Asana.</li>
</ul>
Work Experience
 <ul>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent preferred.</li>
<li>Must be at least 18 years old.</li>
<li>2+ years of retail or hardware experience required.</li>
<li>Leadership or key-holder experience preferred.</li>
<li>Willing to obtain forklift and propane certification within 90 days of hire (training provided).</li>
<li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills to lead and motivate a team.</li>
<li>Proficiency in basic math for transactions, inventory management, and project estimations.</li>
<li>Ability to operate tools and machinery, including key-cutting machines and forklifts.</li>
<li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.</li>
<li>Weekend availability and flexibility to adapt to business needs.</li>
<li>Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., with frequent lifting/carrying of up to 25 lbs.</li>
<li>Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, push, and reach throughout shifts.</li>
<li>Must be able to pass a motor vehicle record check if driving is required.</li>
