<div><div><div><b>The Auria Growth Organization</b> is seeking a full-time, experienced, and motivated <b>BD and Capture Lead</b> to spearhead high-impact, cross-functional teams through full life-cycle business development (BD) and capture efforts. This position is based in the Los Angeles, CA area, with hybrid and remote work options available. Role includes up to 25% annual travel and reports directly to the Chief Growth Officer (CGO).</div>
<div></div><div>As a BD/Capture lead, you will apply your proven BD, capture, and proposal development skills to pursue and win mission-critical programs across the <b>DoD Space, Missile Defense, and Cybersecurity sectors.</b> Ideal candidates will bring not only leadership and project management acumen, but also <b>intimate domain knowledge of space systems, warfighter needs, and agency mission priorities</b>. You will leverage your deep understanding of <b>operator pain points, mission gaps, and acquisition signals</b> to shape differentiated solutions that resonate with the customer&mdash;before the RFP is released.</div>

<div></div><div><b>WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO:</b></div>
<div><ul><li>Collaborate with business unit, program, and corporate functional experts to develop and execute BD and capture strategies, resource proposal activities, and assign roles and responsibilities.</li>
<li>Develop a <b>discerning understanding of operational mission gaps and customer intent</b>, leveraging first-hand system-level insight and real-world mission experience to shape capture strategies that meet or exceed end-user expectations.</li>
<li>Establish strong relationships internally with corporate and business unit leadership and externally with government agencies, mission stakeholders, and industry partners.</li>
<li>Lead cross-functional teams through the entire BD lifecycle, including <b>market shaping, customer engagement, gap-to-solution analysis</b>, capture planning, proposal execution, and transition to program start.</li>
<li>Translate customer pain points and evolving mission challenges into actionable win themes, value propositions, and <b>technically feasible, operationally relevant solutions</b> that address both current and emerging threats.</li>
<li>Develop and maintain multi-tiered customer contact plans that cultivate lasting relationships, positioning Auria as a <b>trusted advisor and thought leader in Space C2, SatOps, Cyber-AI, and Mission Planning domains.</b></li>
<li>Conduct competitive assessments to anticipate bidder strengths, identify discriminators, and develop strategies to position Auria's capabilities as <b>&quot;must-have&quot; solutions aligned with the Government&rsquo;s priorities and funding profiles.</b></li>
<li>Identify and drive teaming strategies that <b>complement Auria&rsquo;s core competencies and fill critical solution gaps</b>, ensuring optimal technical, past performance, and cost positioning.</li>
<li>Guide development of milestone reviews&mdash;PTW, Black Hat, solution baselines, color teams, and pricing&mdash;through a lens of <b>customer value alignment and proposal evaluation insight</b> (e.g., Section L/M score maximization).</li>
<li>Lead and manage execution of capture activities with clear articulation of how our approach offers <b>mission-enabling capabilities</b>, <b>reduces risk</b>, and <b>accelerates delivery</b> in line with acquisition objectives.</li>
<li>Partner with proposal team to ensure compelling articulation of win themes and discriminators across all volumes, leveraging <b>operationally grounded narratives</b> and <b>mission use cases</b>.</li>
<li>Support development of proposal execution plans, compliance matrices, and content schedules that enable a disciplined, agile response to complex RFPs.</li>
<li>Analyze Draft and Final RFPs to build traceability frameworks that ensure our <b>technical, management, and cost solutions map directly to customer expectations and evaluation criteria.</b></li>

</div><div></div><div><b>WHAT THE TEAM REQUIRES:</b></div>
<div><ul><li><b>U.S. citizenship is required.</b></li>
<li><b>Currently possesses or can obtain a US Secret Security Clearance; TS/SCI eligible preferred.</b></li>
<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree with 12+ years of acquisition, engineering and/or related business experience.</li>
<li>5+ years of business development and/or capture experience supporting US Government and/or commercial programs within the Space and Missile Defense sectors.</li>
<li>Strong network within Space Force (e.g., SSC, SpRCO, SDA) and MDA communities</li>
<li>Knowledge of military space, air force, and missile defense systems and capabilities.</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience capturing full and open prime, Other Transaction Authority (OTA) and multi-award ID/IQ opportunities.</li>
<li>Experience reading and analyzing RFPs, crafting proposal outlines, compliance matrices and schedules, and managing teams and work products.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong customer and industry relationships/networks.</li>
<li>Must possess and demonstrate good leadership skills.</li>
<li>Strong verbal and written communication skills; attention to detail and accuracy are a must.</li>
<li>Thorough knowledge of MS Office Suite.</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience working independently and with cross-functional teams.</li>
<li>Understanding of pricing and estimating strategies as well as proposal cost structures/elements.</li>
<li>Familiar with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), TINA statute, OTA and/or other Government procurement regulations.</li>

<div><ul><li>Strong government/industrial base relationships with USSF, SSC, USAF, and MDA strongly preferred.</li>

</div><div></div><div><b>PAY TRANSPARENCY:</b> The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate&rsquo;s qualifications - skills, education &amp; experience - and the position level. $175,000 to $275,000</div>
