Rigger

This person will be able to assemble rigging to lift and move various equipment and materials to and from industrial work areas by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Selects cables, ropes, pullup, winches, blocks and sheaves according to weight and size of load to be moved.</li>
<li>Attach pullup and blocks to fixed overhead structures, such as beams, ceilings and gin pole boom with bolts and clamps.</li>
<li>Assembles and disassembles cranes.</li>
<li>Splices rope and wire cables to make or repair slings or tackle.</li>
<li>Attach load with grappling devices, such as loops, wire rope and chains to crane hook.</li>
<li>Gives direction to operator engaged in hoisting and moving loads to ensure safety of workers and material handled using hand signals and radios.</li>
<li>Sets up, braces and rigs hoisting equipment using hand tools and power wrenches.</li>
<li>Responsible for observing and monitoring others observance of all safety rules.</li>
<li>Maintain current certifications to meet regulations.</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned.</li>

Millwright

Must be able to set up and operate manually controlled machines in skilled precision and bench work in the fabrication, maintenance, repair, and alteration of machinery, machine parts, tools, and equipment. Other duties may be assigned.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Performs all tasks safely and responsibly.</li>
<li>Reads and interprets blueprints.</li>
<li>Uses gages and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements.</li>
<li>Uses precision tools, machinery, and equipment such as a lathe, vertical milling machine, drill press, hydraulic press, chop saw, band saw, push-and-pull broaches, and a variety of cutting tools and equipment.</li>
<li>Fabricates and shapes parts such as tools and machine parts out of metal, plastics, and composites</li>
<li>Properly and safely selects, aligns, secures, and removes holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines.</li>
<li>Recognizes, deploys, and properly uses inserts, fixtures, and tooling.</li>
<li>Performs daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment</li>
<li>Evaluate experimental procedures and recommend change or modifications for efficiency and adaptability to setup and production.</li>
<li>Ability to track parts and jobs into the vantage system.</li>
<li>Connect power unit to machines or steam piping to equipment, and test unit to evaluate its mechanical operation.</li>
<li>Repair and lubricate machines and equipment.</li>
<li>Utilizes and abides by ISO requirements and safety procedures.</li>
<li>Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions.</li>
<li>Replace defective parts of machine or adjust clearances and alignment of moving parts.</li>
<li>Align machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs.</li>
<li>Assemble and install equipment, using hand tools and power tools.</li>
<li>Position steel beams to support bedplates of machines and equipment, using blueprints and schematic drawings, to determine work procedures.</li>
<li>Signal crane operator to lower basic assembly units to bedplate and align unit to centerline.</li>
<li>Insert shims, adjust tension on nuts and bolts, or position parts, using hand tools and measuring instruments, to set specified clearances between moving and stationary parts.</li>
<li>Move machinery and equipment, using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks.</li>
<li>Attach moving parts and subassemblies to basic assembly unit, using hand tools and power tools.</li>
<li>Assemble machines, and bolt, weld, rivet, or otherwise fasten them to foundation or other structures, using hand tools and power tools.</li>
<li>Lay out mounting holes, using measuring instruments, and drill holes with power drill.</li>
<li>Bolt parts, such as side and deck plates, jaw plates, and journals, to basic assembly unit.</li>
<li>Level bedplate and establish centerline, using straightedge, levels, and transit.</li>
<li>Dismantle machines, using hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and other hand tools.</li>
<li>Shrink-fit bushings, sleeves, rings, liners, gears, and wheels to specified items, using portable gas heating equipment.</li>
<li>Dismantle machinery and equipment for shipment to the installation site, usually performing installation and maintenance work as part of a team.</li>
<li>Construct foundations for machines, using hand tools and building materials such as wood, cement, and steel.</li>
<li>Operate engine lathe to grind, file, and turn machine parts to dimensional specifications.</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned.</li>

Ironworker

Performs duties to raise, place and unite girders, columns and other structural steel members to form completed structures or structure framework. This is accomplished by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

<li>Reads blueprints and selects required material for construction.</li>
<li>Sets up hoisting equipment for raising and placing structural steel members.</li>
<li>Fastens steel members to cable of hoist, using chain, cable or rope.</li>
<li>Guides structure being lifted into proper position and aligns rivet holes with corresponding holes</li>
<li>Drives drift pins through rivet holes.</li>
<li>May assist in lifting, positions and securing of materials and work pieces during installation.</li>
<li>Verifies vertical and horizontal alignment using plumb bob and level. Bolts align members to keep them in position until they can be permanently bolted or welded in place.</li>
<li>Bolts aligned structures to keep them in position until permanently riveted, bolted or welded into place.</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned.</li>

<div>Welder - Combination

This person must be able to join metal parts, such as pipe or metal plates as specified by layout, blueprints, work orders, welding procedures or oral instructions through the application of heat or electric arc-welding equipment. Other duties may be assigned.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Uses spot welding gun or hand, electric, or gas welding equipment to weld or tack weld pieces together.</li>
<li>Unites pipes from torch to tanks of oxygen and fuel gas and turns valves to release mixture.</li>
<li>Reaching expected temperature, size, and color of flame by burning torch and adjusting flow of gas and air.</li>
<li>Preheats work pieces for the preparation of welding or curving, using torch.</li>
<li>Fills holes or corrects mistakes in lead pieces and makes bulges thin and curves in metal work pieces.</li>
<li>Checks the weakness of work pieces and measures work pieces with straightedge or template to ensure the piece meets specifications.</li>
<li>Climbs up ladders or works on scaffolds to take apart textures.</li>
<li>Gives signal to crane operator to lift large work pieces.</li>
<li>Uses thermal-cutting equipment such as flame-cutting torch or plasma-arc equipment to dismount metal assemblies or cut scrap metal.</li>
<li>Uses hoist, crane, wire and banding machine, or hand tools to place and protect work pieces.</li>
<li>In order to protect the torch chooses place of weld based on type, thickness, area, and expected temperature of metal.</li>
<li>Instructs and brings flame or electrodes on or across work piece to straighten, curve, dissolve, or develop metal.</li>
<li>Joins pieces together, covers up taut points, and adds metal to develop parts.</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned.</li>
