Dirt Operator

Must be able to operate electric, diesel, gasoline, or steam powered power construction equipment, such as a motor grader, bulldozer, scraper, shovel, derrick, tractor, front-end loader or other power equipment to excavate, move or grade earth, erect structures, move products, equipment, or materials to and from industrial work areas by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Pushes and pulls levers and depresses pedals to raise, lower, and rotate boom and to raise and lower load line or to raise and lower blade or bucket.</li>
<li>Raises, lowers blade or bucket, and rotates boom or load by sight or according to signals from helper.</li>
<li>Inspects equipment for defective parts and notifies supervisor of defects or malfunctions.</li>
<li>Start engines, move throttles, switches, and levers, and depress pedals to operate machines.</li>
<li>Signal truck driver to position truck to facilitate loading of dirt, rocks, and other materials.</li>
<li>Take actions to avoid potential hazards and obstructions such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers, and falling objects.</li>
<li>Cleans, maintains, and lubricates equipment.</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned.</li>

Education &ndash; no minimum education requirements.

Experience &ndash; 4 years of Journeyman-level experience.

Certification/License &ndash; a Valid Driver's License.

Civil Carpenter

Construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard, using carpenter's hand tools and power tools. Must know about structural design, the ability to read blueprints, and simple layouts. Must know construction trade, practices, procedures, techniques, tools, and equipment, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints. Other duties may be assigned.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Study specifications in blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required.</li>
<li>Shape or cut materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws.</li>
<li>Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment.</li>
<li>Erect and destruct concrete forms, scaffolding and ramps above ground level.</li>
<li>Remove damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace, using hand tools.</li>
<li>Maintain records, document actions, and present written progress reports.</li>
<li>Construct forms or chutes for pouring concrete.</li>
<li>Verify trueness of structure, set grade, check for plumb, etc.</li>
<li>Mix, transfer and extend materials such as concrete and asphalt.</li>
<li>Fabricate and install concrete reinforcing bars.</li>
<li>Place and finish concrete.</li>
<li>Maintain clean job site, pick up tools/equipment, secure job site each day-eliminate potential hazards.</li>
<li>Be able to operator a forklift</li>
<li>Be able to move or rearranging furniture.</li>
<li>Do general clean up.</li>
<li>Be able to paint.</li>
<li>Prepare water and deliver to crafts or units.</li>
<li>Replace doors walls and build stairs as needed</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned.</li>
