Austin Industrial is currently seeking an experienced SIPA Supervisor (Scaffold / Soft Craft Operations Supervisor) to support our site operations in McIntosh, AL. The SIPA Supervisor will oversee daily scaffold, insulation, paint, and asbestos operations, working closely with customer operations and Austin Industrial leadership. This individual will lead crews, coordinate resources, and ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with site and regulatory requirements.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Supervise the construction, use, and dismantling of temporary scaffold structures</li>
<li>Serve as Scaffold Competent Person, ensuring compliance and safety prior to scaffold use</li>
<li>Supervise insulation work on buildings, vessels, and pipelines</li>
<li>Provide oversight of paint and asbestos-related activities as required</li>
<li>Coordinate work planning, execution, and completion with customer operations</li>
<li>Lead and mentor craft employees; maintain positive employee and customer relationships</li>
<li>Ensure work is completed per job packages, safety policies, and quality standards</li>
<li>Conduct field inspections, safety observations, and crew briefings</li>
<li>Maintain accurate documentation and reporting related to work activities</li>

Qualifications
<ul>

<li>5+ years of industrial maintenance experience with a strong emphasis on scaffold supervision</li>
<li>Background as a Scaffold Supervisor or General Foreman</li>
<li>Experience in additional SIPA trades including insulation, paint, and asbestos</li>
<li>Scaffold Competent Person training and certification required</li>
<li>NCCER Scaffold or Foreman certification preferred (not required)</li>
<li>Journeyman-level experience in applicable soft craft trade(s)</li>
<li>Strong working knowledge of scaffold systems and safe work practices</li>
<li>Ability to read and interpret drawings, job packages, and technical documentation</li>
<li>Proven leadership, communication, and customer service skills</li>
</ul>
Requirements

<li>SAP and KRONOS Experience preferred</li>
<li>Knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and process controls</li>
<li>Experience working in a chemical or heavy industrial environment</li>
<li>Must possess a valid driver&rsquo;s license to operate plant vehicles</li>

Scaffold Builder Journeyman

This person will construct, assemble, maintain, and dismantles tubular scaffolding or other temporary structures. This is accomplished by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities. A minimum of 3 years of experience is required within the Scaffolding craft. Other duties may be assigned.

 Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Determines type of scaffold needed.</li>
<li>Inspects job site and all scaffold material for defects and safety hazards.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Effectively communicates safety hazards and mitigates avoidable hazards prior to construction of scaffolding.</li>
<li>Transports tubular scaffold or other structural material and erects the scaffold to the dimensions required.</li>
<li>Hoists scaffolding materials upward in order to erect temporary structure.</li>
<li>Properly secures and levels locking sections of scaffolding material.</li>
<li>Properly secures scaffold to the permanent structure for added stability.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Adheres to all OSHA, site specific and Austin Industrial requirements for the erecting and navigation of the scaffolding.</li>
<li>Performs final inspection of completed scaffolding.</li>
<li>Dismantles scaffolding when it has been properly communicated to do so.</li>
<li>Inspects and properly stows scaffolding material after dismantling.</li>

<div>Painter Helper

Will help painters prepare wood and metal surfaces for painting, and paint equipment, parts, machinery, buildings, and other working areas using a spray gun, brush and rollers. Other duties may be assigned.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

<li>Prepares surface using methods appropriate to remove dirt, oil, grease, removing old paint, smoothing cracks, and filling holes.</li>

Must be able to install, repair, replace and dismantle the machinery and heavy equipment used in industrial settings. This is accomplished by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

<li>Replace defective parts of machine or adjust clearances and alignment of moving parts.</li>
<li>Align machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs.</li>
<li>Connect power unit to machines or steam piping to equipment, and test unit to evaluate its mechanical operation.</li>
<li>Repair and lubricate machines and equipment.</li>
<li>Assemble and install equipment, using hand tools and power tools.</li>

The HVAC Technician is responsible for performing installs, repairs and maintenance to a variety of equipment including: refrigeration, air conditioning, electric motors, heating units, heat pumps, hermetic compressors, commercial furnaces, boilers, burners, intake and exhaust fans, economizers, humidifiers, capacity controls, semi-hermetic compressors, split systems, flame safeguard controls, air compressors, air driers, and packaged units throughout the district. <li>Read complex blueprints, piping, sketches, schematics, and wiring diagrams.</li>

<li>Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilating, air conditioning, glycol, heating, hot water, and steam distribution equipment and systems to optimize performance and energy use.</li>
<li>Troubleshoot, repair and make modifications to HVAC System.</li>
<li>Adhere to all city, state, and federal regulatory statues.</li>
<li>Maintain maintenance records as required by City, State, and EPA regulations.</li>
<li>Order and maintain parts needed to repair and maintain HVAC Equipment.</li>
<li>Manage relationship with all major vendor accounts.</li>
<li>Properly maintain and safeguard district assets.</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned.</li>
