Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the procurement process, ensuring that materials and supplies are sourced efficiently and cost-effectively. This position requires strong skills in sourcing, inventory control, and supply chain management to support our production planning efforts.Responsibilities<ul><li>Conduct sourcing activities to identify and evaluate potential suppliers for various materials and products.</li><li>Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.</li><li>Manage inventory control processes to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing excess.</li><li>Collaborate with production planning teams to forecast material needs based on production schedules.</li><li>Utilize systems for tracking orders, inventory levels, and supplier performance.</li><li>Monitor supply chain activities to ensure timely delivery of materials, addressing any issues that may arise.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier communications.</li><li>Analyze market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and improved procurement strategies.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Proven experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in a manufacturing or supply chain environment.</li><li>Strong knowledge of sourcing strategies and supply chain management principles.</li><li>Familiarity with inventory control processes and production planning methodologies.</li><li>Proficiency in using purchasing software is highly desirable.</li><li>Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers.</li><li>Strong analytical skills to assess supplier performance and market conditions.</li><li>Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.</li><li>Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
