RESPONSIBILITIES:
<ul>
<li>Accurately and completely reports and documents status, care rendered, response to care, provider orders, contacts with patient and/or other healthcare providers.</li>
<li>Refills medication following the ARC refill protocols.</li>
<li>Accurately and completely rooms patients, takes and documents vital signs, prepares patients for provider exam</li>
<li>Follows clinic protocols and directions given by nursing team leader or supervisor.</li>
<li>Performs diagnostic testing including but not limited to EKGs, audiograms, tympanograms, spirometry, and visual screenings with reporting and documentation as appropriate.</li>
<li>Monitors inventory of medical and/or office supplies and equipment, ensuring units and/or rooms are properly stocked and supplies are current and not expired. Orders supplies as needed.</li>
<li>Responsible for reviewing both Provider refill in basket and assisting with daily medication refill request using the ARC refill protocol.</li>
<li>Responsible for reviewing EPIC triage call in basket for any callbacks.</li>
<li>Cleans patient rooms as needed, including proper handling of dirty laundry.</li>
<li>Ensures laundry cart is stocked with fresh linens on a daily basis.</li>
<li>May assist providers with sigmoidoscopy exams and cardiac stress testing by setting up equipment, assisting with patient preparation, and cleaning and storing equipment after exam. Reports and documents appropriately.</li>
<li>Maintains equipment (autoclaves, sterilizes, washes speculums, checks expiration dates, etc.)</li>
<li>Adheres to all company policies, including but not limited to, OSHA, HIPAA, compliance and Code of Conduct.</li>
<li>Regular and dependable attendance.</li>
<li>Follows the core competencies set forth by the Company, which are available for review on CMSweb.</li>
<li>Works holiday shift(s) as required by Company policy.</li>
<li>Staff Medical Assistant:
<ul><li>Provides patients with educational materials as directed.</li>
<li>Administers medication under physician&rsquo;s direction and within the scope of practice as demonstrated by completion of training and testing.</li>
<li>Responsible for reviewing result note in basket and calling /informing patients of normal lab results.</li>
<li>Reviews provider instructions regarding abnormal results.</li>

</li></ul>QUALIFICATIONS:

Staff Medical Assistant:

Required:
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li>
<li>Required to meet one of the following:
<ul><li>Medical Assistant experience, or</li>
<li>CNA/EMT/PCT(or other comparable experience) providing direct patient care, beyond Activities of Daily Living, including experience taking manual vitals and giving medications and/or injections, or</li>
<li>Graduate of a medical assistant program.</li>
</ul>
</li></ul>Preferred:
<ul><li>Six (6) months or more experience as a Medical Assistant.</li>
</ul>
 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
<ul>
<li>Ability to administer medications &amp; injections within scope of position within 90 days of hire.</li>
<li>Knowledge of medical terminology.</li>
<li>Excellent organizational skills.</li>
<li>Excellent phone listening skills.</li>
<li>Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.</li>
<li>Excellent customer service skills.</li>
