Job Summary
 The Reconstruction (Construction) Materials Coordinator supports reconstruction operations by owning the materials lifecycle—from estimating review and customer selections through purchasing, inventory control, and job-site delivery. This role works closely with the Project Manager and Director, vendors, field crews, subcontractors, and customers to ensure the right materials are approved, ordered, staged, and available when needed so projects stay on schedule and on budget.
 Responsibilities
 <ul>
<li>Procurement & Purchasing</li>
<li>Source, order, and manage materials needed for active and upcoming reconstruction/restoration projects.</li>
<li>Solicit, maintain, and strengthen vendor/supplier relationships; negotiate pricing and lead times when appropriate.</li>
<li>Track purchase orders, confirm delivery dates, and coordinate staging based on project schedules.</li>
<li>Monitor material costs and report potential cost overruns/variances to the Project Manager (and Director as needed) before purchases are made so change orders can be addressed as needed.</li>
<li>Inventory & Warehouse Management</li>
<li>Maintain accurate inventory records across the warehouse and job sites; conduct cycle counts and audits to prevent shortages or overstock.</li>
<li>Maintain organized storage and staging areas; label, secure, and protect materials to reduce damage and loss.</li>
<li>Distribution & Delivery</li>
<li>Coordinate pick-ups and deliveries; assist with loading/unloading materials and equipment as needed.</li>
<li>Deliver materials to job sites and verify accuracy/completeness with field teams and subcontractors.</li>
<li>Manage returns, exchanges, warranty claims, and excess materials according to company procedures.</li>
<li>Project & Process Support</li>
<li>Work closely with the Project Manager on job-related items and coordinate with the Director/department leadership as needed.</li>
<li>Evaluate job details prior to site visits, including photos, scope, and components needed for the project.</li>
<li>Create and maintain material logs and spreadsheets for ordering, status tracking, and job costing support.</li>
<li>Maintain organized documentation (purchase records, delivery confirmations, vendor contacts) and provide materials reporting to support estimating and cost analysis.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications
 <ul>
<li>Required</li>
<li>2+ years of experience in materials coordination, inventory management, purchasing, logistics, warehouse operations, or a related field.</li>
<li>General understanding of residential and commercial reconstruction/remodel construction methods and materials.</li>
<li>Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook and Excel (and comfort learning new systems; QuickBooks experience a plus).</li>
<li>Excellent verbal, written, and customer communication skills.</li>
<li>Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects and deadlines.</li>
<li>Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record; ability to pick up and deliver materials to job sites.</li>
<li>Preferred</li>
<li>Experience working in a restoration, remediation, or general contracting environment.</li>
<li>Experience supporting construction/restoration projects (e.g., working with Project Managers, field teams, and subcontractors).</li>
<li>Experience managing vendor relationships, negotiating pricing, and tracking purchase orders.</li>
<li>Familiarity with OSHA guidelines and safe handling/storage of construction materials; experience using basic hand and power tools.</li>

Hours: 
<ul>
<li>8-hour shift</li>
<li>Monday to Friday</li>
<li>Saturday’s as needed no Sunday’s</li>
</ul>
Wages: $16 to $20 per hour depending on experience. Experience and ODA licensing will be compensated.

Job Functions
 Lawn Squad provides lawncare, landscaping, and fertilizing along with pest and mosquito services throughout the greater Cleveland area. This involves customer communication, answering questions and customer concerns. Requires a neat, clean personal appearance and supporting a clean work vehicle and equipment.
 
Company relationships
 
The lawn technician collaborates with other staff members in the branch who can help resolve a customer’s concern.
 
Lawn Technician Duties (included but not limited to)
 
<ul>
<li>Collaborating with customers to ensure their property meets their expectations.</li>
<li>Always be honest and respectful to customers.</li>
<li>Collaborate with other staff as part of a team effort and sharing the responsibilities.</li>
<li>Performing treatments to the customer’s lawn using proper equipment and techniques while showing professionalism.</li>
<li>Ability to explain the Lawn Squad programs to the customer or prospective customer with honesty, accuracy, and integrity.</li>
<li>Conduct service calls using the outlined Lawn Squad procedures.</li>
<li>Stay in contact with customers to prevent lawn problems.</li>
<li>Ensure the service vehicle and all equipment are used and maintained in a clean and safe condition.</li>
<li>Valid driver’s license with minimal infractions in the last 3 years.</li>
<li>Ability to lift 50 pounds or more throughout the day.</li>
<li>Project a professional image to the public.</li>
<li>Demonstrate a commitment to working the required hours each day to ensure that branch production goals are consistently met.</li>
</ul>
The lawn service technician handles offering new services to both existing and potential clients, performing initial problem assessments, and suggesting suitable solutions. The lawn service technician may also enlist the help of anyone at the branch for help.
