Team: AutoIQ Programming DepartmentLocation: In-Office only &mdash; Phoenix, AZ (no remote)Employment Type: Full-TimeStart: As soon as possibleThe RoleIn the front end you&rsquo;ll build fast, accessible web experiences for our marketing efforts and products&mdash;owning UI work across dashboards and landing pages as we expand the business and add new features. In the back end you&rsquo;ll build and maintain the services that power our dashboards, marketing experiences, and data integrations. You&rsquo;re day to day will consist of designing secure, reliable REST APIs and background jobs in Node.js and Python/FastAPI, deploying to AWS (ECS/EC2), and adding the observability we need to scale confidently while also working in React, Next.js, and TypeScript/JavaScript to ship clean interfaces that feel great and perform well.What You&rsquo;ll Do<ul><li>Design and build secure REST APIs in Node.js and Python/FastAPI with versioning and clear contracts.</li><li>Model data and write queries for MySQL and Postgres; use ORMs where helpful and raw SQL when it&rsquo;s the right tool.</li><li>Implement robust auth (OAuth 2.0, JWT), including token handling and scopes.</li><li>Drive performance and reliability: profiling, caching, queues, rate limiting, retries, and idempotency.</li><li>Add observability end-to-end (structured logs, metrics, traces).</li><li>Ship via Docker, GitHub/Bitbucket Actions, and AWS blue/green deployments for safe rollouts.</li><li>Build and maintain integrations for data and file exchange.</li><li>Own job scheduling and maintenance with Python (e.g., APScheduler).</li><li>Contribute tests (unit/integration/contract/load) with pytest and related tooling.</li><li>Manage and update our existing product dashboards; design and build intuitive front-ends for new products and marketing landing pages.</li><li>Implement responsive UI patterns and componentized, maintainable code in React/Next.js (TypeScript/JavaScript).</li><li>Integrate with APIs; Deliver reliable, well-typed data flows.</li><li>Use modern state management (Redux, Zustand) where appropriate.</li><li>Ship confidently via CI/CD, feature flags, and analytics/GTM instrumentation.</li><li>Partner with Design and Marketing to scope, plan, and iterate.</li></ul>Tech You&rsquo;ll Work With<ul><li>Languages: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, JavaScript/Node.js</li><li>Frameworks/Libraries: React, Next.js, FastAPI, Pydantic, Alembic, Pandas, Express, Sequelize</li><li>Styling: CSS Modules, Tailwind, MUI</li><li>Tooling &amp; Delivery: GitHub/Bitbucket Actions; AWS blue/green deployments</li><li>Monitoring/Analytics: GA4, AWS</li><li>Data Stores: Postgres, MySQL</li><li>Scheduling/Queues: APScheduler (Python) for scheduled jobs</li><li>Cloud &amp; Infra: AWS (ECS, EC2, ECR, ALB), Docker; blue/green deployment patterns via CodeDeploy/CodePipeline</li><li>Testing: pytest (plus whatever fits per service)</li></ul>Must-Have Qualifications<ul><li>Practical depth in Node.js and Python/FastAPI, plus SQL schema design.</li><li>Solid REST API design and versioning fundamentals.</li><li>Data modeling and query performance: comfortable with an ORM and raw SQL when needed.</li><li>Write maintainable, well-tested code; participate in constructive code reviews (pytest experience preferred).</li><li>Solid experience building production React apps in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.</li><li>Comfortable integrating REST APIs and handling common front-end data patterns.</li><li>You communicate clearly, ask good questions, and collaborate well with teammates across design and marketing.</li></ul>Nice-to-Have<ul><li>~2&ndash;3 years of professional experience (or equivalent projects).</li><li>Security coursework/certs or exposure (AWS/Google cloud security, OAuth).</li><li>Next.js SSR/SSG and basic AWS familiarity.</li><li>Some SEO/structured-data awareness for marketing pages.</li><li>Comfortable in Excel for quick checks or content updates.</li><li>Working knowledge of distributed-systems basics: consistency, idempotency, exponential backoff on unreliable networks.</li></ul>What to Send<ul><li>Resume and GitHub or portfolio (preferred)</li><li>If available: links to code samples or PRs you&rsquo;re proud of (we&rsquo;ll discuss them together)</li></ul>Pay: From $50,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Application Question(s):<ul><li>Do you understand that this is NOT a remote position?</li></ul>Language:<ul><li>English (Required)</li></ul>Location:<ul><li>Phoenix, AZ 85085 (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
