The RFP Analyst plays a key role in helping Avantor win contracts. This role is responsible for preparing, coordinating, and managing bids, tenders, or proposals in response to requests for proposals (RFPs), requests for quotations (RFQs), or other procurement solicitations. This role is responsible for the overall completion of the bid from start to finish.
What we&rsquo;re looking for<ul><li>
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent training in business, marketing, or sales functions, or equivalent work experience</li><li>

Serves as the primary partner to Sales Management on strategic RFPs, collaborating across teams and managing complex deadlines to ensure accurate, complete, and timely submissions. This role also supports profitability goals and coordinates closely with global team members to drive all aspects of the RFP and bid process.<ul><li>
Reviews, prepares, &amp; processes global and high profile complex formal RFPs</li><li>
Assess requirements and compliance guidelines of RFPs</li><li>
Facilitates RFP kick-off calls and additional implementation calls with business owners and leadership</li><li>
Coordinates response material from all pertinent parties and departments (i.e. Sales, Contracts &amp; Pricing)</li><li>
Cross references product matches to provide equivalent or alternative product solutions to the customer</li><li>
Reconciles the pricing and units of measure (quantities) for final document presentation</li><li>
Create and Manipulate large data sets within Excel Spreadsheets (V-Lookup, Pivot Tables, etc.)</li><li>
Analyzes complex RFP&rsquo;s with account owners to ensure margin protection and ability to comply upon contract award. This would include compilation and manipulation of historical data</li><li>
Ensure critical RFP deadlines are met and the RFP submission is complete and without errors</li><li>
Contacts customers and vendors to collect information and respond to inquiries when necessary</li><li>
Monitors RFP/Bid mailbox and serves triage role, assigning tasks to appropriate person</li><li>
Acts as liaison and support for associates in Coimbatore office who are handling daily Bid workload</li><li>
Works closely with Contracts team regarding legal matters and advises team accordingly</li><li>
Use of RFP Evaluation Chat GPT in support of proposal writing</li><li>
Recaps processed proposals for win/loss status</li><li>
Utilizes Microsoft Teams to record daily RFP and Bid activity</li><li>
Assist with Training of new Bid Coordinators on RFP Process and Excel Skills</li><li>
Performs other duties as assigned</li></ul>

Experience: 2&ndash;5 years of experience with MES software applications, including implementation and deployment</li><li>

The MES Engineer is a COE technical role responsible for designing, deploying, and sustaining Tulip applications within a GMP‑regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role blends process engineering, low‑code development, and compliance‑focused digital transformation to improve batch execution, documentation accuracy, deviation reduction, and overall plant performance. The MES Engineer partners with QA, Operations, IT/OT, Validation, and corporate digital teams to ensure Tulip solutions meet regulatory requirements while driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
1. Tulip Application Development &amp; Deployment<ul><li>
Build and deploy GMP‑compliant Tulip apps supporting manufacturing operations:<ul><li>
Electronic batch records (EBR) and batch execution steps</li><li>
In‑process quality checks and sampling workflows</li><li>
Equipment setup, cleaning, and line clearance verification</li><li>
Material dispensing, weighing, and traceability</li><li>
Deviation capture, CAPA workflows, and audit trails</li></ul></li><li>
Configure connectors to integrate Tulip with UNS, ERP, LIMS, historians, SCADA/PLC systems, and other validated platforms.</li><li>
Develop dashboards to provide real‑time visibility into batch progress, quality metrics, and equipment performance.</li></ul>
2. Compliance, Validation &amp; Documentation<ul><li>
Ensure all Tulip applications comply with GMP, GAMP 5, 21 CFR Part 11, Annex 11, and data integrity (ALCOA+) principles.</li><li>
Create and maintain validation documentation (URS, FRS, IQ/OQ/PQ, risk assessments, change controls).</li><li>
Partner with QA and Validation teams to ensure audit readiness and proper lifecycle management of digital systems.</li><li>
Maintain secure, traceable, and compliant electronic records and audit trails.</li></ul>
3. Support, Sustainment &amp; Continuous Improvement<ul><li>
Provide day‑to‑day support for Tulip apps, connectors, and edge devices in a validated environment.</li><li>
Troubleshoot issues related to data integrity, device connectivity, and workflow logic.</li><li>
Monitor system performance, user adoption, and data quality; drive continuous improvement initiatives.</li><li>
Maintain version control, documentation, and change management in alignment with GMP expectations.</li></ul>
4. Workforce Training &amp; Change Management<ul><li>
Train operators, supervisors, QA personnel, and engineers on new Tulip workflows.</li><li>
Develop SOPs, training materials, and job aids that meet regulatory documentation standards.</li><li>
Promote a culture of digital adoption, right‑first‑time execution, and data‑driven decision‑making.</li></ul>
5. Cross‑Functional Collaboration<ul><li>
Partner with QA, Validation, and IT/OT to ensure secure, compliant, and reliable infrastructure for Tulip deployments.</li><li>
Collaborate with process engineering and operations to embed Tulip into new equipment, processes, and capital projects.</li><li>
Work with corporate digital teams to align with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, and digital strategy.</li></ul>
