WHAT YOU&rsquo;LL DO</b></div><div></div><div><br>
The Installation Technician 1 will perform installation tasks on AVI-SPL contracted projects including, but not limited to: cable pulls, cable terminations, system equipment and components, rack systems and metal fabrication per project directives and requirements, coordinating with lead Technician ensuring projects achieve time, scope, budget, quality, safety and customer satisfaction requirements.</div><div><br>
</div><div><b>Day-To-Day Responsibilities:</b></div><br>
<div></div><ul><li>
Perform installation tasks as noted in job summary and in support of Lead Technician</li><li>
Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints</li><li>
Use hand and power tools to solder and crimp connectors along with various other AV systems installation related tasks</li><li>
Assist Lead Tech with management and security of all associated equipment and tools on jobsite</li><li>
Assist with basic mechanical fabrication and basic rack wiring</li><li>
Travel to various job sites required</li><li>
Perform additional tasks, responsibilities, and projects as needed to support the team and organization, ensuring flexibility in adapting to evolving priorities and objectives.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>

AVI-SPL reserves the right to alter work hours and work location as necessary. Work hours may vary based on client requirements and may include travel to various locations in support of the account.</li><li>
This position will generally work on customer sites and may deal with a construction site type of work environment.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>

Must-Haves:</b></div><br>

Good communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients, colleagues, and vendors.</li><li>
Customer service oriented with a focus on client satisfaction.</li><li>
Basic understanding of audio-visual systems, including projectors, screens, speakers, microphones, video conferencing equipment, digital signage, and control systems.
</li><li>Basic proficiency in installing, terminating, and troubleshooting low-voltage cabling (e.g., HDMI, CAT5e/6, fiber optic), and experience with conduit runs, cable trays, and other wiring methods.</li><li>
Basic ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues with audiovisual equipment and systems.
</li><li>Ability to use hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner.
</li><li>Basic understanding of network infrastructure and how it integrates with audiovisual systems (e.g., IP-based systems, streaming, cloud-based services).</li><li>
Ability to work and think independently and meet deadlines.</li><li>
Valid Driver&rsquo;s License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets AVI-SPL Driving Privileges standards</li><li>
Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent required.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>

Overview <p>Job Summary: Perform installation tasks for audio visual projects including but not limited to: pulling cable, installing connectors, mounting projects and metal fabrication.</p> Responsibilities <ul><li>Perform installation tasks for audio visual projects including but not limited to: pulling cable, installing connectors, mounting projects and metal fabrication</li><li>Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints</li><li>Use hand and power tools to solder and crimp connectors along with various other AV systems related tasks</li><li>Assist with basic mechanical fabrication and basic rack wiring</li><li>Projector and screen support structure installations</li><li>Test point to point functionality of systems</li><li>Mentor Level I Technicians</li><li>Communicate daily job site status to the Project Manager</li><li>Work with manufacturers to initiate return material authorizations as needed</li><li>Review equipment list with customer upon delivery</li><li>Travel to various job sites required</li><li>Other duties assigned as needed</li></ul> Skills and Abilities <ul><li>Effectively communicate with employees, customers and colleagues</li><li>Ability to use hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner</li><li>Ability to work and think independently and ensure to meet deadlines</li><li>Basic computer knowledge</li><li>Knowledge of basic signal flow for audio video and control</li></ul> Education and/or Experience <ul><li>Minimum of 2 years of audiovisual installation experience preferred</li><li>Formal education in Electronics or related field preferred</li><li>Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent preferred</li><li>Preferred External Training:</li><li>InfoComm Quick Start to the audiovisual industry</li><li>InfoComm CTS General Certification</li><li>OSHA 10-Hour Construction Course</li><li>Extron AV Associate Certification</li><li>Crestron Professional Installation Certification</li><li>AMX Intro to Networking for AV Professionals</li><li>Valid Driver's License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets AVI-SPL Driving Privileges standards</li></ul> Working Environment <p>The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
