SUMMARY: The Lead Mechanic oversees the maintenance tasks in the service, repair, and overhaul of aircraft to ensure airworthiness. Ensures timely completion of tasks and provides training and mentorship for an assigned function area. Assists with Maintenance Supervisor responsibilities for short periods of time.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
<ul>
<li>Ensures all tasks are promptly completed in compliance with federal regulations, customer guidelines, and company policies.</li>
<li>Reviews required customer and FAA paperwork to ensure proper maintenance updates and compliance with applicable regulations and customer requirements.</li>
<li>Leads the maintenance, preventative maintenance, or alteration of, or approves and returns to service, any aircraft, or part thereof, only for which that Lead is rated and has satisfactorily performed the work concerned at an earlier date.</li>
<li>Performs maintenance tasks as required and becomes an active crew member.</li>
<li>Conducts crew meetings to ensure communication regarding work, safety, and quality.</li>
<li>Uses technical data to order parts and ensure the material is suitable for the aircraft being installed. Ensures all parts for the specialty area are ordered promptly.</li>
<li>Ensures Engineering is submitted on time as needed.</li>
<li>Responsible for keeping all assigned areas clean and audit-ready. Identifies and eliminates hazards that pose risks to employee safety and the quality of work. Ensures compliance with safety requirements.</li>
<li>Responsible for on-time delivery in assigned skill set in coordination with other skill sets.</li>
<li>Monitors and corrects routine and non-routine labor hours prior to exceeding the allotted estimated hours.</li>
<li>Notifies Supervisor of variations in labor requirements to ensure the most efficient utilization of labor and resources and to avoid LOW when possible.</li>
<li>Answers questions from customers as needed.</li>
<li>Responsible for setting timeframe expectations with technicians on task card accomplishment.</li>
<li>Oversees On-the-Job Training (OJT) to provide learning opportunities through work assignments and mentoring.</li>
<li>Recommends changes to processes to improve efficiencies and workflow.</li>
<li>Complies with, communicates, and provides guidance to team members on ATS policies, procedures, and Safety Management System (SMS) requirements. Promotesthe "Balanced Technician" concept.</li>
<li>Mentors and develops the technical and leadership skills of the mechanics.</li>
<li>Communicates all information on assigned employees to the supervisor, including disciplinary problems. May deliver or give input with performance evaluations on assigned employees.</li>
<li>Provides regular feedback and performance coaching, including appropriate time management, task prioritization, and ensuring proper knowledge and training to accomplish assignments for all members of the assigned crew.</li>
<li>Responsible for accurate timekeeping, including clocking into jobs.</li>
<li>Responsible for the accuracy of clocking into jobs for the assigned team.</li>
<li>Responsible for adhering to all ATS-required training.</li>
<li>Regular and predictable attendance.</li>
<li>Effective and appropriate conduct with co-workers.</li>
</ul>
OTHER DUTIES: 
<ul>
<li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li>
<li>Performs Delegated Inspector duties as assigned.</li>
</ul>
PHYSICAL EFFORT AND DEXTERITY: 
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to sit, stand, and walk; use their hands and arms; talk or hear; and focus on close-up objects. The employee may be required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee may also be required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
 
ENVIRONMENT: 
Based on location, you may be required to pass a background check for an SIDA (Security Identification Display Area) or an AOA (Airport Operations Area) badge.
 
The noise level in this work environment is usually moderate to high. May occasionally work near moving mechanical parts in high, precarious places and may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. May work outdoors in various weather conditions. This position requires the use of a respirator.

SUMMARY: The Accessories Mechanic is responsible for service, repair and overhaul aircraft to ensure airworthiness. Works under minimal supervision.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
General
 <ul>
<li>Has intermediate knowledge of all areas of the aircraft and assigned work area. Repair, modify, replace or otherwise perform routine aircraft maintenance work in specialized area of aircraft.</li>
<li>Develop repair schemes utilizing SRM or Engineering data. Conduct operational tests.</li>
<li>Communicate effectively with other maintenance personnel at all levels by keeping co-workers and leadership apprised of work progress and difficulties as they arise.</li>
<li>Complete job assignments in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Read and interpret manufacturer and airline maintenance manuals, service bulletins, drawings and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repair, replacement or modification.</li>
<li>Responsible for accurately clocking to jobs.</li>
<li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li>
</ul>
The following duties will apply based on the area to which the employee is assigned:
 Accessories (electrical/fluidpower/interiors/mechanical)
 <ul>
<li>Disassemble, inspect and reassemble hydraulic, mechanical or electrical aircraft components</li>
<li>Utilize OEM and Engineering drawings to modify components</li>
<li>Test aircraft hydraulic, mechanical or electrical components</li>
<li>Troubleshoot hydraulic, mechanical or electrical aircraft components</li>
</ul>
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 
<ul>
<li>High School Diploma or equivalent.</li>
<li>Airframe and/or Power plant License and level of skill customarily acquired after one year as a General Mechanic, or three years of related commercial / military aircraft experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li>
</ul>
PHYSICAL EFFORT AND DEXTERITY: 
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to sit; use their hands and arms; and talk or hear; and focus on objects close up. The employee will also be required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Ability to handle and climb ladders and aircraft stairs.
 
Compensation
 The base pay range for this position is $23.50 – $37.00 hourly, not including bonuses or benefits. Your pay will be based on your experience, skills, and education, as well as internal equity to ensure fairness across the team. Candidates closer to the lower end of the range are typically building their expertise, while those at the higher end bring significant experience and specialized knowledge. This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus.
