This paid position offers an opportunity to make a genuine difference every day while developing valuable skills in caregiving, behavioral health, and social support.Responsibilities<ul><li>Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, and meal preparation.</li><li>Support behavioral health needs through positive behavior management techniques and effective communication strategies.</li><li>Facilitate participation in community outings, recreational activities, and social events to promote social skills and independence.</li><li>Collect data on progress toward individual goals, maintaining accurate records for documentation and reporting purposes.</li><li>Administer medication following prescribed protocols and document administration accurately.</li><li>Use American Sign Language or other communication methods to enhance understanding and interaction with individuals with communication challenges.</li><li>Drive clients safely to appointments, activities, or community events using company vehicles when required.</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism in home or community settings.</li><li>Knowledge of special education principles and behavior management techniques.</li><li>Strong communication skills to effectively interact with individuals of diverse needs and backgrounds.</li><li>Ability to assist with ADLs and provide compassionate caregiving tailored to each person&rsquo;s needs.</li><li>Familiarity with behavioral health concepts and medication administration protocols.</li><li>Experience in data collection, documentation, and maintaining detailed records of care activities.</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license with a clean driving record to support transportation responsibilities.
