<div>Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, is seeking candidates for a Senior Production Engineer to support the Integrated Fires &amp; Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office. This position is located in Huntsville, AL.
Job Responsibilities/Duties:<ul><li>
Provide senior production engineering support to the IFMC Project Office Performance Management Directorate for systems in the production phase of an Army Air and Missile Defense program.</li><li>
Coordinate production program management efforts and requirements to ensure comprehensive planning and documentation supporting established production schedules.</li><li>
Monitor production performance trends and proactively identify potential issues affecting hardware and system integration activities.</li><li>
Conduct technical data analysis and communicate program findings through technical reports, briefings, white papers, and memorandums.</li><li>
Participate in key program engagements with the prime contractor, including program reviews, production readiness activities, and failure investigations.</li><li>
Develop and implement production strategies and plans to ensure system components and software meet required performance and integration standards.</li><li>
Develop production metrics and monitoring approaches to assess hardware manufacturing and integration activities.</li><li>
Perform trend analysis across laboratory, assembly, contractor, and production environments to support program oversight.</li><li>
Provide independent assessments and recommendations during production and pilot line validation activities.</li><li>
Evaluate engineering changes, waivers, and deviations to assess impacts to producibility, product integrity, and production performance.</li><li>
Review production-related contract deliverables and provide technical assessments to support Government acceptance.</li><li>
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to other production engineers in areas including milestone planning, production engineering processes, and contractor production management.</li><li>
Assist with the development of Statements of Work (SOW) and support technical evaluation of contractor proposals.</li><li>
Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>
Required Experience:<ul><li>
BA / BS or MA / MS in an Engineering discipline.</li><li>
10 or more years of relevant experience supporting defense systems production, manufacturing, or production engineering activities.</li><li>
Experience supporting DoD acquisition programs, including systems transitioning into or operating within the production phase.</li><li>
Demonstrated experience supporting production readiness activities, engineering reviews, production configuration assessments, and manufacturing oversight.</li><li>
Experience analyzing engineering and production data to identify performance trends and recommend improvements.</li><li>
Working knowledge of systems engineering concepts and production engineering methodologies.</li><li>
Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience preparing reports, technical documentation, and briefings for senior leadership.</li><li>
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and provide technical leadership within a collaborative team environment.</li><li>
Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.</li><li>
Must be able to travel up to 20% of the time.</li></ul>
Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>
Prior experience supporting Army Air and Missile Defense programs or similar complex defense systems.</li><li>
Experience supporting hardware production lines, integration facilities, or defense manufacturing environments.</li><li>
Familiarity with engineering change management, production validation activities, and production readiness reviews.</li><li>
Experience supporting Government Program Management Offices or Major Defense Acquisition Programs.</li></ul>
