<div>We are seeking highly skilled and detail-oriented Utilities Lawyers to support our clients, many of which are leading energy providers across the U.S. This is a remote opportunity for attorneys with strong regulatory and transactional experience in the utilities and energy sector, particularly those familiar with proceedings before state and federal regulatory bodies. 


Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Advise on regulatory compliance and filings before state and federal agencies, including PUC/PSC bodies.</li>
<li>Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of utility-related agreements, including:
<ul><li>Retail Electricity Supply Agreements</li>
<li>Load Serving Entity (LSE) Contracts</li>
<li>Power Distribution and Transmission Agreements</li>
<li>Interconnection and Grid Access Agreements</li>
<li>Wheeling Agreements</li>
<li>Operations &amp; Maintenance (O&amp;M) Contracts</li>
<li>Master Service Agreements (MSAs)</li>
<li>Smart Grid and Metering Contracts</li>
</ul></li><li>Provide legal support for rate case filings, tariff implementation, and utility procurement compliance.</li>
<li>Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external counsel on infrastructure, construction, and maintenance contracts related to utility assets.</li>
<li>Support IT and digital transformation initiatives, including smart grid and metering technologies.</li>
<li>Advise on legal matters involving investor-owned utilities (IOUs), public power entities, transmission operators, load aggregators, and large commercial/industrial utility customers.</li></ul> 


Minimum Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>5&ndash;15 years of legal experience, with a focus on utilities, energy regulation, or infrastructure.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of state and federal utility regulatory frameworks.</li>
<li>Experience with utility-related contracts and regulatory filings.</li>
<li>Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.</li></ul> 


Preferred Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Experience working in-house at an electric utility, power distribution company, or energy service company (ESCO).</li>
<li>Background in infrastructure, construction, or IT contracting within the utilities sector.</li>
<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to advise cross-functional teams.</li></ul> 


Compensation, Benefits &amp; Location:
This role offers a range of competitive compensation starting at $140k and adjusted to take location and years of experience into consideration. Utilities Lawyer (Remote)

<div>We are seeking highly skilled and detail-oriented Utilities Lawyers to support our clients, many of which are leading energy service companies across the U.S. This is a remote opportunity for attorneys with strong regulatory and transactional experience in the California utilities sector, particularly those with experience before the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC). 


Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Advise on regulatory compliance and filings before the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) and other state and federal regulatory bodies.</li>
<li>Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of California-specific utility agreements, including:
<ul><li>Retail Electricity Supply Agreements</li>
<li>Load Serving Entity (LSE) Contracts</li>
<li>Power Distribution and Transmission Agreements</li>

Utilities Lawyer (Remote - California Experience)

<div>We are currently seeking Corporate Governance &amp; Securities Lawyers to work with our publicly-traded client base on-site in Chicago for both full-time and part-time needs.

Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Advise on external governance trends, SEC issues, and related general legal issues</li>
<li>Review corporate governance documents, policies, and guidelines and recommend updates where necessary</li>
<li>Drafting, reviewing, and ensuring the timely satisfaction of SEC compliance and reporting obligations, including proxy statements and reports on Forms 10-K, 10-Q, S-1, S-4, and 8-K</li>
<li>Planning and preparing for annual shareholder meetings, drafting and reviewing Board/Committee minutes and resolutions</li>
</ul>
Minimum Qualifications:
<ul>
<li><div>Minimum 6 years of public company securities and general corporate work in-house or at a law firm</div>
</li><li>Experience with bylaws, board minutes, SEC disclosures, and proxy statements - strong shareholder and board management/disclosure experience preferred</li>
<li>Experience with governance-centric needs like risk management, strategic planning, and compliance and ethics is a plus</li>
<li>Current active bar license and in good standing with the state of issuance</li>
