The Role

As the Senior Product Designer at AXS, you'll be part of a fun, dynamic and creative team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating intuitive, user-centered designs for our enterprise platform, ensuring seamless and enjoyable experiences for both our customers and clients. You will be leading and producing these solutions by collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, project managers, and other direct stakeholders to translate user needs and business goals into innovative design solutions. 


What Will You Do?
<ul><li>Lead in the discovery, design, and build of products already in the design phase or from scratch</li></ul>
<ul><li>Design interfaces that are simple, functional, and elegant for complex systems</li></ul>
<ul><li>Acting as a steward for our design system.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Lead, analyze, and synthesize quantitative and qualitative research to inform design decisions.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Influence the future vision and strategic decisions with your product and exectuive team.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Provide direct and impactful feedback to other designers on the team, helping designers on adjacent product teams grow their skills.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Ensure product meets criteria for efficiency, effectiveness and user satisfaction according to common usability standards.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Champion user-centric designs by understanding the underlying motivations and pain points of our users, and consistently thinking from their perspective.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Research and understand industry trends and emerging technologies to incorporate into design processes.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Ensure UI designs are consistent with brand guidelines and design standards.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Actively gather peer and stakeholder feedback and make iterative improvements based on the insights received.</li></ul> 


What Will You Bring?
<ul><li>4-6 years relevant product design experience (experience within a ticketing company is preferred)</li></ul>
<ul><li>A portfolio of work that demonstrates an advanced understanding of information hierarchy, business objectives, good usability practices and a solid sense of aesthetics.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Expertise in participating and providing feedback in internal design reviews</li></ul>
<ul><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present a rationale for design decisions</li></ul>
<ul><li>Advanced understanding of user experience principles</li></ul>
<ul><li>Advanced knowledge of Figma and other industry standard design tools</li></ul>
<ul><li>An expert understanding of the design and product development processes</li></ul>
<ul><li>Proficient in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook</li></ul>
<ul><li>Knowledge of web site structure and functionality; understanding of how web-based technologies apply to web design such as HTML, Flash, CSS, and AJAX</li></ul> 


Location: Tempe, AZ

Pay Scale: $94,722.30- $136,000

Bonus: This position is eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.

carbonhouse, a division of AXS /AEG is a leading provider of venue, ticketing, and event-driven websites. The Role

AXS is seeking a Systems Developer to join our carbonhouse team in Charlotte, NC. This role will assist in strategizing, defining, developing and managing the architecture and solutions of the company platform and development applications. They will act as the technical resource and provide direction and support to development team. 


What Will You Do?
<ul>
<li>Design and implement web interfaces for the company platform from conception to completion, this includes set up and integration of system components (proprietary software and third party software solutions) into the platform.</li>
<li>Work on continuous improvement of the platform through new tools for automation, monitoring and rapid deployment; Ensure technology adoption is set-up to the ever-changing technological landscape, while enhancing performance and fitting into existing systems.</li>
<li>Develop subject matter expertise on the design and implementation of legacy tools/applications; determine product enhancements, or replacements, and a clear and cogent path forward.</li>
<li>Maintain and develop new standards within infrastructure and evangelize new and emerging technologies within the organization. Evaluate existing technologies and articulate the logic behind adoption of new tools or systems.</li>
<li>Assist in defining best practices and standards for all engineering products present in, interacting with, or onboarding onto our ecosystem, including in accordance with policies and procedures, such as change control and standard development methodologies and frameworks.</li>
<li>Establish standards and guidelines for the design &amp; development, tuning, testing, deployment and maintenance of applications.</li>
<li>Work with internal teams to develop or integrate new products, including platforms representing the lifecycle of events.</li>
<li>Generate technical diagrams, configuration, scripting, testing, and integration for system components (migration, or new tech adoption) and all related documentation.</li>
</ul>
What Will You Bring?
<ul>
<li>BA/BS Degree (4-year) Computer Science or a related technical field</li>
<li>4-6 years years of experience in a backend software development role</li>
<li>Experience with JavaScript and Python</li>
<li>Experience with HTML/CSS and UX Design</li>
<li>Experience with building application architectures from scratch</li>
<li>Experience with modern database technologies &ndash; AWS, Azure, etc.</li>
<li>Experience working in a Linux environment</li>
<li>Experience building applications for mobile devices</li>
<li>Strong, proven communication and project management skills.</li>
<li>Ability to maintain knowledge on latest advancements in all technical areas to allow for recommendation of new or emerging technologies or trends.</li>
<li>Strong work ethic and passion for event industry.</li>
<li>Able to demonstrate innovative approaches to complex problems that deliver industry-leading experiences for clients.</li>
<li>Excellent organization and succinct written and communication skills are required to interact with employees at all levels, from individual contributors to executives.</li>
