JOB SUMMARY:</b></p>
<p>
Under direction of the Office Manager, the Front Desk Receptionist essential duties include providing excellent customer/patient services via phone and in person.</p>
<p><b>
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Must provide excellent customer service for patients; practices confidentiality and privacy protocols in accordance to Clinic policies and HIPAA requirements</li>
<li>Welcomes and greets patients/clients/visitors to the medical practice in a manner that is helpful and friendly; determines purpose of visit and direct patients/clients/visitors</li>
<li>Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information</li>
<li>Obtains revenue by recording and updating financial information; recording and collecting patient charges; controlling credit extended to patients; filing, collecting, and expediting third-party claims</li>
<li>Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information</li>
<li>Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient's arrival; reviewing service delivery compared to schedule; reminding provider of service delays</li>
<li>Performs day-to-day administrative functions and general office duties including but not limited to copying, filing, faxing, answering phones and data entry</li>
<li>Transfer telephone calls as needed; works with call center representative to ensure adequate patient support is all times</li>
<li>Adheres to all policies on safety and security; maintains restricted areas safe by safeguarding entry and computer system passwords in strict confidentiality</li>
<li>Clean, sanitize and maintain patient waiting areas, office files, and front-desk areas in a manner that is organized</li>
<li>Assist with other duties as assigned</li>
<li>General cleaning duties to ensure that the office remains clean and tidy for both patients and staff</li>
</ul>
</div><div><p><b>QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>High School graduate or equivalent required, Medical Receptionist Certificate a plus</li>
<li>1+ years of experience medical office receptionist experience; Medical Receptionist Certificate a plus</li>
<li>Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the position</li>
<li>Excellent communication skills</li>
<li>Computer literate with entry level working knowledge</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to organize, coordinate, prioritize, and facilitate many on-going tasks at one time</li>
<li>Duties require professional verbal and written communication skills</li>
<li>Ability to work independently or with a team</li>
<li>Professional appearance</li>
<li>Positive attitude</li>

Medical Receptionist

JOB SUMMARY:</b></p>
<p>
The Certified Medical Assistant provides patient care in a primary/family care practice under the direction of a physician, physician assistant or nurse practitioner. In this role, the certified medical assistant serves patients of all ages including children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.</p>
<p><b>
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Interviews patients, measures vital signs and records patient information in electronic medical records system (eClinicalWorks)</li>
<li>Prepares exam rooms for patients, and setup and assist with instruments and equipment</li>
<li>Clean and sterilize instruments and exam rooms</li>
<li>Inspect patient rooms for cleanliness, comfort, and sanitary conditions</li>
<li>Give injections or treatment and draws blood</li>
<li>Perform routine laboratory tests, start, monitors, and discontinue</li>
<li>Operate diagnostic equipment to administer routine tests</li>
<li>Key data into electronic medical records; vital signs, performs EKG, spirometry and or other similar office procedures</li>
<li>Schedule patients for tests and procedures</li>
<li>Call in, fax and/or e-prescribing required medication</li>
<li>Inventory and stock medical supplies and materials</li>
<li>Adhere to all standards of care, Code of Conduct, and HIPAA Compliance</li>
<li>Assist with other duties as assigned</li>
<li>General cleaning duties to ensure that the office remains clean and tidy for both patients and staff</li>
</ul>
<p><b>QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>High School graduate or equivalent education</li>
<li>LPN- Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program with a current practical nurse license</li>
<li>MA- Current Medical Assistant Certification/Registration required</li>
<li>Current Basic Life Support card from the American Heart Association</li>
<li>6 months+ years working experience in a clinical private practice setting preferred</li>
<li>Ability to travel to nearby offices as needed</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to organize, coordinate, prioritize, and facilitate many on-going tasks</li>
<li>Must be organized and attentive to detail, and able to work quickly and efficiently to assure patient comfort and satisfaction</li>
<li>Professional verbal and written communication skills</li>
<li>Professional appearance</li>
<li>Positive attitude and ability to effectively work in a team environment</li>
</ul>
