On any given day, you'll:
<ul>
<li>Engage with senior engineers and design professionals for guidance and training.</li>
<li>Learn the mechanical (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection) aspects that go into making a building functional and safe.</li>
<li>Learn and apply the software tools that aide in design and drawing production.</li>
<li>Model mechanical systems in buildings using our design tools including Revit, loads software Trane TRACE, manufacturer&rsquo;s online sizing tools for equipment, and more.</li>
<li>Interact with design professionals in other building design disciplines.</li>
</ul>
Required Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Pursuing a degree in mechanical or architectural engineering and have an interest in HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection design.</li>
<li>Ability to work in our Roseville, MN office.</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li>
<li>Have completed two years of study towards a mechanical engineering degree.</li>
</ul>
Desired Skills and Experiences:
<ul>
<li>Eagerness to learn.</li>
<li>Basic understanding of the Microsoft Office suite of programs.</li>
</ul>

On any given day, you&rsquo;ll:
<ul>
<li>Create drawings, designs, and layouts complying with local, state, and federal codes/ordinances, and industry regulations for buildings.</li>
<li>Participate/collaborate with project teams to create designs and plans for all phases of project delivery</li>
<li>Coordinate architectural drawings with all trades related to building design.</li>
<li>Create design and construction documents and details using Revit for projects of varying size and complexity.</li>
<li>Prepare presentation and design drawings and details.</li>
<li>Gather the necessary measurements, dimensions, and perform other routine calculations for design layouts.</li>
<li>Rework and modify designs based on comments and reviews from project managers, consultants, and clients.</li>
<li>Participate, along with Project Manager and/or Project Architect, in client meetings to discuss the design requirements for new construction, alterations, or renovations/repairs.</li>
<li>Ensure design specifications align with architectural project design.</li>
</ul>
Required Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Associate's or bachelor&rsquo;s degree from an accredited Architectural or Engineering program (or similar accredited program)</li>
<li>1-2 years of architectural project experience. (Project experience beyond 5 years may be considered an exception to educational degree requirement)</li>
<li>Proficiency in Revit.</li>
<li>Knowledge of architectural project processes related to coordination, workflow, project approvals, construction detailing, materials, methods, and codes.</li>
<li>A willingness to travel within Wisconsin on an as needed basis.</li>
<li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license with a good driving record.</li>
</ul>
Desired skills and experiences:
<ul>
<li>Associate or bachelor&rsquo;s degree in civil engineering technology or construction management.</li>
<li>Experience in Civil 3D and AutoCAD.</li>
<li>3-D modeling proficiency including Lumion, SketchUp, V-Ray, Blender, 3DS Max, and Revit.</li>
<li>Proficiency in Microsoft office suite of programs, Autodesk collaboration and coordination software, BIM360, and Bluebeam</li>
<li>Ability to work independently, as well as, collaboratively as a team member.</li>
<li>Proven experience with a variety of building types and market sectors.</li>
<li>Excellent communication and organizational skills, a client service focus.</li>
<li>Be active in civic and/or professional organizations.</li>
<li>Ability to foster an environment that lends itself to allowing staff to feel competent, supported, and driven toward career development.</li>
