Job Summary:
B&amp;A is looking for a Top-Secret NARA Support Analyst to join a contract with a federal government client in support of an important mission. We are seeking a NARA Support Analyst to join our team in Suitland, Maryland supporting the Joint Staff Declassification Branch (JSDB) within the Information Management Division (IMD). In this role, you will conduct declassification reviews of DoD records and provide focused records management support for record collections under the purview of the IMD, ensuring the accurate preparation, indexing, and accessioning of records to the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) in accordance with Executive Order 13526 and applicable Joint Staff and NARA requirements.
Qualified applicants may be subject to a security investigation and must meet minimum qualifications for access to classified information.
Responsibilities:<ul><li>Conduct declassification reviews of DoD records at the document level in accordance with Executive Order 13526, applicable classification guides, and Joint Staff and external agency guidance.</li><li>Provide focused records management support for record collections under the purview of the Information Management Division, in accordance with IMD Records and Research Branch procedures and policies.</li><li>Verify accurate and comprehensive application of the SF 715 and Joint Staff box summary sheets.</li><li>Generate accurate indexes at the document level for submittal to NARA and process E-Discovery searches in support of ongoing legal proceedings.</li><li>Prepare boxes for transportation and accessioning to NARA, and provide additional records processing and quality assurance services in support of IMD modernization goals and NARA records management requirements.</li><li>Maintain an active account with the Interagency Referral Center Notifications (IRCN) system and ensure timely acknowledgment of system-generated referral notifications.</li><li>Archive completed declassification actions into the Joint Staff electronic archiving repository within established timelines, maintaining a minimum 99% acceptable quality level.</li></ul>
Education and Experience:
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in the Social Sciences is required. Candidates with a degree in other disciplines, or without a bachelor&rsquo;s degree but having considerable professional/military experience, may be accepted based on documented declassification work experience subject to Joint Staff concurrence. In addition, candidates must possess 7 years of experience conducting declassification reviews of DoD records.
Required Skills:<ul><li>Expert understanding of Executive Order 13526 and declassification criteria.</li><li>Expert understanding of Interagency Referral Center processes and procedures.</li><li>Knowledge of Joint Staff structure, missions, history, and equities.</li><li>Must have completed the Department of Energy&rsquo;s Historical Records and Restricted Data Reviewer course.</li></ul>

We are seeking a Senior FOIA Analyst to join our team in Suitland, Maryland supporting the Joint Staff Declassification Branch (JSDB) within the Information Management Division (IMD). In this role, you will conduct document-level declassification reviews across multiple processes&mdash;including Automatic Declassification Review (ADR), Mandatory Declassification Review (MDR), Foreign Relations of the United States (FRUS), Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), and Special Review (SR)&mdash;in accordance with Executive Order 13526, applicable Joint Staff instructions, classification guides, and external agency guidance.
Qualified applicants may be subject to a security investigation and must meet minimum qualifications for access to classified information.
Responsibilities:<ul><li>Conduct line-by-line, document-level declassification reviews across the ADR, MDR, FRUS, FOIA, and Special Review (SR) processes in accordance with Executive Order 13526, applicable Joint Staff instructions, classification guides, and external agency guidance and statutes.</li><li>Process high-level, short-suspense Special Review (SPR) requests originating from members of Congress, the DoD Office of General Counsel, and other external agencies.</li><li>Assist with internal FOIA and MDR document searches and provide recommended responses with supporting rationale.</li><li>Generate timely, accurate, and comprehensive reports concerning records reviewed by the Declassification Branch as tasked.</li><li>Archive completed declassification actions into the Joint Staff electronic archiving repository within 5 business days of receipt, maintaining a minimum 99% acceptable quality level.</li><li>Maintain, update, and ensure the accuracy of Declassification Branch databases.</li><li>Provide guidance and quality assurance support to junior analysts as needed.</li></ul>
Education and Experience:
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in the Social Sciences is required. Candidates with a degree in other disciplines, or without a bachelor&rsquo;s degree but having considerable professional/military experience, may be accepted based on documented declassification work experience subject to Joint Staff concurrence. Candidates must meet one of the following experience requirements:<ul><li>Must possess 5 years of experience conducting DoD declassification reviews in at least two of the following processes: ADR, MDR, FRUS, FOIA, or SR; OR</li><li>Must possess a total of 2 years of experience conducting declassification reviews for the Joint Staff, defined as possessing at least 1 year of experience in each process.</li></ul>
Required Skills:<ul><li>Thorough understanding of Executive Order 13526, classification criteria, and Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) provisions.</li><li>Knowledge of Joint Staff structure, mission, history, and equities.</li><li>Must have completed the Department of Energy&rsquo;s Historical Records and Restricted Data Reviewer course.</li></ul>

B&amp;A is looking for a Top-Secret Administrative Support Analyst to join a contract with a federal government client in support of an important mission. We are seeking an Administrative Support Analyst to join our team in Suitland, Maryland supporting the Joint Staff Declassification Branch (JSDB) within the Information Management Division (IMD). In this role, you will provide a wide variety of secretarial and administrative support to the Declassification Branch, including action processing, courier package preparation, database maintenance, and coordination with the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), in accordance with Joint Staff policies and procedures.
Qualified applicants may be subject to a security investigation and must meet minimum qualifications for access to classified information.
Responsibilities:<ul><li>Prepare hard copy packages for courier services and sign for incoming hard copy packages from the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD).</li><li>Initiate and prepare Action Processing System packages for search and review.</li><li>Respond to OSD queries regarding referral status, estimated completion dates, and missing document requests by close of the following business day.</li><li>Prepare and provide responses for the OSD reconciliation list and provide recommended responses with rationale to Program Leads for OSD pre-coordination requests by close of the following business day.</li><li>Prepare and send monthly open/close status reports to OSD for each process and conduct annual FOIA and MDR reports.</li><li>Assist with internal FOIA and MDR document searches.</li><li>Provide escorts for non-cleared visitors to IMD workspaces and conduct burn bag operations.</li><li>Update and maintain the ADR database and analyze ADR boxes to extract and compile all requisite data.</li></ul>
Education and Experience:
There is no formal degree requirement for this position. Prior administrative or clerical support experience, ideally within a government or classified environment, is preferred.
Required Skills:<ul><li>Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe.</li><li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent administrative tasks and suspense deadlines.</li><li>Familiarity with records processing and database maintenance is preferred.</li></ul>
