As a Mechanical Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in the preparation of cost estimates for mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems. Your analytical skills will be essential as you assess project specifications, conduct quantity take-offs, and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure accurate and competitive pricing. You will be responsible for analyzing project blueprints and specifications to develop comprehensive project scopes and cost databases. This position demands a proactive approach to identifying project risks and opportunities while maintaining high levels of communication with project stakeholders. The ideal candidate will also contribute to the continuous improvement of estimating processes and methodologies. This opportunity offers an exciting and challenging environment where you can leverage your expertise while contributing significantly to the successful delivery of projects.Responsibilities<ul><li>Review and analyze project plans and specifications to prepare accurate estimates for mechanical systems.</li><li>Perform detailed quantity take-offs for HVAC, plumbing, Conveyors, and fire protection systems in accordance with project requirements.</li><li>Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to develop comprehensive cost estimations.</li><li>Maintain and update cost databases to reflect current market trends and pricing.</li><li>Identify potential risks and challenges within project estimates and propose solutions.</li><li>Prepare bid proposals and present estimates to internal stakeholders and clients as needed.</li><li>Participate in post-bid reviews to refine estimating techniques and improve future project estimates.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.</li><li>Proven experience as a mechanical estimator in the construction industry, with a strong understanding of mechanical systems.</li><li>In-depth knowledge of construction processes, cost estimation methodologies, and project management principles.</li><li>Proficiency in estimating software and tools, such as Primavera, Bluebeam, or other relevant platforms.</li><li>Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in estimating costs.</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team and engage with clients.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet tight deadlines.</li></ul>Pay: $69,898.60 - $84,178.96 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>Employee discount</li><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Professional development assistance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
