The Marketing Specialist develops and executes marketing programs to increase visibility and traffic at Saul Centers, Inc. shopping centers. This position is responsible for the communications that publicize vacant space to real estate brokers, retail and restaurants prospects, and creates marketing materials that assist the leasing department with filling vacant spaces. This position also provides day-to-day support to the leasing department.</div>

Duties &amp; Responsibilities of the Marketing Specialist</b></h3><ul><li>
Marketing Coordination Responsibilities:</li><li>
Work with the SVP of Leasing, the Director of Leasing and leasing staff in planning and coordinating all marketing events and activities (i.e., broker events, tenant grand openings and ribbon cuttings)</li><li>
Help create new marketing and branding initiatives for all new developments and existing projects</li><li>
Write and distribute marketing messages via social media and broadcast emails</li><li>
Write reports detailing analysis of event effectiveness and develop solutions to improve marketing efforts</li><li>
Partner with other departments (property management and acquisitions) on marketing initiatives to promote traffic at our shopping centers</li><li>
Coordinate and attend ribbon cuttings and photography at events</li><li>
Attend marketing meetings with Property Managers</li><li>
Coordinate Saul Centers, Inc. booth and presence at ICSC Conventions (RECON and Mid-Atlantic Idea Exchange)</li><li>
Design and coordinate production of promotional giveaways (i.e., Visa gift cards, co-branded Starbucks cards, tech wipes, shopping bags, portable battery chargers, etc.)</li><li>
Coordinate Tenant Retention program working with Local County Chamber of Commerce
</li><li>Process marketing invoices including accounting for all marketing expenses and coordination of bill payment</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
Print/Web:</b></div><ul><li>
Generate and update all digital marketing related materials including marketing brochures, advertisements, banners and signage</li><li>
Coordinate, execute and measure effectiveness of various email marketing campaigns using MailChimp</li>
Serve as back up to Webmaster and assist in the future redesign of the Saul Centers, Inc. website<br>

<div><b>Social Media:</b></div><ul><li>
Work with vendors to market events at Saul Centers, Inc. shopping centers (SalesUp)</li><li>
Create and maintain Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages for various shopping centers

Leasing Responsibilities:</b></div><ul><li>
Draft written responses or replies via phone or e-mail when necessary. Response to regularly occurring requests for information</li><li>
Retrieve information from files when needed</li><li>
Scans, copy, fax and distribute leasing documents</li><li>
Process invoices</li><li>
Reconcile expenses for P-Card</li><li>
Provide support to the leasing agents</li><li>
Maintain media contact list</li><li>
Provide back-up support for the paralegal and other administrative assistants</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Selection Criteria of the Marketing Specialist:</b></h3><ul><li>
3-5 years of relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience</li><li>
Prior experience in a marketing role preferred</li><li>
Bachelor's Degree preferred, combination of education and experience or commensurate work-related experience</li><li>
Ability to work autonomously on assigned tasks and be able to take direction on given assignments</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>

The actual base pay offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held. Base pay is one component of Saul Centers Inc. total compensation package, which also includes access to or eligibility for healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, bonus plans and more.</div><div></div><div><br>
