BAE Systems Maritime Solutions Jacksonville is hiring a Craft Supervisor in the Pipe Department. The Craft Supervisor reports directly to the department Craft Manager. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing Pipe Department (regular and temporary employees), providing technical assistance, assigning work on multiple assignments during a workday, monitoring progress onboard vessels and ensuring that all employees comply with company policies and procedures and translates customer&rsquo;s requirements into a working product.

Senior Principal Contract Administrator

<div>Job Description
 
BAE Systems, one of the world's leading defense contractors and a Top Ten Prime Contractor to the Department of War, is hiring a Mechanical Designer to support design and construction of chemical plant facilities at the Holston Army Ammunition Plant in Kingsport, TN. This position will work a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off, and our hybrid approach provides plenty of on-site collaboration and support for new staff onboarding as well as the flexibility for working remotely some days.
 
 
In this role, you will be responsible for assisting mechanical engineers in technical tasks to support design and construction of multi-million dollar modernization programs. Your work will include planning, design, analysis, and engineering inputs into the construction and maintenance at a chemical plant facilities. You will assist in generating, checking and managing the mechanical design packages with collaboration from the design team. These packages will include drawings, specifications and diagrams that clearly define the mechanical construction package. These packages are issued to general contractors for construction on large scale modernization projects as well as smaller plant maintenance type upgrades. Working alongside mechanical engineers, you will provide technical oversight during the actual field installation and commissioning of equipment. 
 
As a mechanical designer, you will: 
o Create and edit mechanical drawings using Inventor, AutoCAD, and Revit models.
 
o Work with a multi-discipline engineering team to perform plant and project engineering tasks and interface with site operations and maintenance teams. 
o Select construction materials and methods, write specifications, and prepare mechanical drawings.
 
o Conduct inspections of existing facilities such as equipment and pipelines to determine the integrity and safety, and make recommendations concerning any needed modifications. 
o Create drawings used for construction, installation and procurement of mechanical equipment.
 
o Assist engineering to ensure that work is performed in accordance with plans, specifications, and good construction practices and within cost during the execution phase.

Senior Mechanical Designer

BAE Systems is seeking a Senior mechanical designer to join our established and rapidly expanding Electronic Combat Solutions business area. Electronic Combat Solutions (ECS) has technology, engineering and program teams that educate and mentor colleagues to deliver leading Electronic Warfare capabilities. The Senior Designer position we are seeking to fill requires 15+ years of experience in the Mechanical Design Drafting profession, with a minimum 2 years specifically assigned Senior/Lead role, to work in the Greater Nashua NH region. You will provide your design expertise on the many technology challenged and innovated product and services to support our customers. As part of the Design &amp; Drafting Community you will utilize the latest CAD Technology and Processes that are derived from forward planning with Industry professionals to define future of CAD capabilities as well as its support of Model Based Engineering via Model Based Definition. In addition, your technical skills will advance while performing your assigned responsibilities on development projects and in supporting our existing product portfolio. 
 
The individual selected for this position will be an experienced Mechanical Designer who is a problem solver with diverse technical capabilities and sound design and geometrical tolerance fundamentals to support engineering, design, analysis, product definition and product build process. The duties assigned to this position, while under the guidance of Program and Engineering Leadership, include the following:
<ul><li>Utilize computer-aided design equipment and/or graphic tools to design components, systems, portion of systems and modify existing designs to develop or improve production</li><li>
Support mechanical and electro-mechanical hardware design efforts from conceptual layouts through detailed design</li><li>
Conduct design trade studies, volume packaging and tolerance analysis</li><li>
Plan, execute, develop, release and control of product definition data (engineering models and drawings)</li><li>
Partner with business team members and engineering teams to develop mutually agreeable design specifications and ensure they are met on final product</li><li>
Work closely with technicians in the generation and assembly of prototype/engineering hardware and test equipment</li><li>
Create, maintain and update engineering records and files as appropriate</li><li>
Perform ECR&rsquo;s and ECO&rsquo;s as required</li><li>
Perform other related duties as assigned</li></ul>
Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely. 
 
Required Education, Experience, &amp; Skills
 
In addition to job function description<ul><li>
15 years' experience or an Associate&rsquo;s Degree in a Design Drafting field with a minimum of 12 years of directly related Designer/Design drafting experience, or equivalent experience.</li><li>
Familiarity with comprehensive design processes including conceptual development, physical design and support to procurement and manufacturing</li><li>
Work within a broader program team, highly capable of communicating across functional boundaries in order to solve problems and achieve common goals.</li><li>
Ability to lead and direct small dynamic teams
</li><li>Familiar with standard manufacturing practices for the efficient fabrication of mechanical components and assemblies</li><li>
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment</li><li>
Strong understanding of GD&amp;T in accordance with Y14.5 and associated ASME drawing standards</li><li>
Strong written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>
Proficient in 3D Solid modeling and in the utilization of related file management systems.</li></ul>

<ul><li>Proficient using CREO Parametric 7.0 and Pro-Intralink/Winchill 11.0</li><li>
Skills and experience in Model Based Definition and Model Based Engineering practices.</li><li>
Expert with Y14.5 GD&amp;T, Military Standards and ASME drawing Standards</li><li>
Experience with change management Product databases
</li><li>Ability to provide performance feedback upon request</li><li>

Pay Information 
Full-Time Salary Range: $89650 - $152460
