Summary</b></h2></div><div><p>
The <b>Line &amp; Grade Instrument Man II</b> provides the expertise and coordination in using the surveying equipment to ensure that the work is laid out in the most effective and accurate way possible. Coordinates layout activities with the Party Chief, Superintendent and/or Foremen for the installation of layout on a project. Has a good understanding of our SQP goals and collaborates with project leadership to identify improvement ideas. Contributes to effective project management through daily observations and communication. Supports the field in resolving any conflicts with tolerances and field constructability issues in the installation of the work. Contributes to safety on the project by perpetuating the IIF culture.</p></div></div><div><div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Roles and Responsibilities</b></h2></div><div><p>
The<b> Line &amp; Grade Instrument Man II</b> will possess competency in the areas listed below in order to perform his/her role in a safe, productive, and effective manner. Responsible for accurately maintaining all physical site dimensions and controls</li><li>
Responsible for accurate layout of building location, structures, and dimensions throughout the project</li><li>
Assists in establishing procedures and coordinating with the client to define primary survey points and transfer building control on the site</li><li>
Establishes secondary control and communicates procedures to individual work crews<br>
Implements procedures to adequately provide layout methods and check/re-check</li><li>
Provides required data to Party Chief to establish defining points needed in a data collector</li><li>
Calculates and monitors concrete hold quantities on a daily basis</li><li>
Maintains communication with Party Chief, Superintendent, Foremen and other trades to coordinate project layout</li><li>
May serve as the Party Chief on smaller projects</li><li>
Sets up and checks accuracy of surveying equipment through pegging and double centering, or other methods</li><li>
Validates calculations and other information provided by the Party Chief/Superintendent</li><li>
Reviews construction documents for accuracy, deviations, and conflicts and writes clarification requests accordingly</li><li>
Collaborates with Party Chief, Superintendent, Foremen and other trades to resolve constructability conflicts</li><li>
Interfaces with Formwork Engineering department to provide layout for formwork shop drawings</li><li>
Maintains field notes and documentation generated by layout</li><li>
Reviews and understands construction drawings and identifies discrepancies</li><li>
Responsible for communication of changes and maintenance of technical drawings, as-builts, clarification logs, etc.</li><li>
Knows and applies general construction tolerances in the application of work including the determination of the most stringent tolerance and its use</li><li>
Sets example by following safety guidelines including but not limited to wearing PPE on jobs, staying aware of surroundings, etc.</li><li>
Attends and participates in Tool Box Talks and provides input for Safety Task Analysis</li><li>
Complies with proper safety procedures</li></ul></div></div><div><div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Requirements</b></h2></div><div><p>
The <b>Line &amp; Grade Instrument Man II </b>will possess the knowledge, skill, and/or ability in the following areas essential to perform the functions of the position.</p><ul><li>
High School Diploma and 4 years&rsquo; construction experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience</li><li>
Must have 2 years&rsquo; experience as an Line &amp; Grade Instrument Man I</li><li>
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers and regulatory agencies</li><li>
Good listening skills</li><li>
Ability to work within a team environment</li><li>
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume; understanding of geometry and trigonometry</li><li>
Knowledge of industry tolerances</li><li>
Working knowledge in the use of the coordinate system</li><li>
Ability to work harmoniously, respectfully and effectively with subordinates, peers, supervisors and clients</li><li>

S/he collaborates with hiring managers and business unit leaders to understand their staffing needs and create recruitment strategies and networking pipelines to attract qualified craft workers such as laborers, carpenters, finishers, operators, etc. The Craft Acquisition Specialist is responsible for conducting interviews, assessing candidates' technical skills and experience, and coordinating onboarding processes for new hires. S/he also performs administrative functions related to recruiting.</p></div></div><div><div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>

Stays current with industry trends, salary benchmarks, and competitive hiring practices in the craft and trades sector</li><li>
Analyzes recruitment metrics and adjusts strategies to improve hiring effectiveness and efficiency</li><li>
Develops and executes recruitment strategies to attract top craft talent across various trades (e.g., laborers, carpenters, finishers, operators, etc.)</li><li>
Sources candidates through job boards, industry networks, social media, and local trade schools</li><li>
Monitors social media outlets for available candidates &sect; Reviews resumes received through applicant tracker</li><li>
Conducts pre-screening interviews</li><li>
Provides recommendations to hiring managers and HR Talent Managers based on assessments and interview feedback</li><li>
Registers for career events and tracks pertinent information (career fairs visited, people interviewed and hired)</li><li>
Ensures that PowerPoint presentations are updated and applicable for event</li><li>
Ensures that there are enough supplies for various career events</li><li>
Coordinates interviews for qualified candidates</li><li>
Sends follow-up correspondence to candidates</li><li>
Coordinates travel/relocation arrangements</li><li>
Maintains a repository of resumes to be pulled from the Applicant Tracker as needed</li><li>

Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree and 6 years of construction recruitment experience or equivalent combination of education and experience</li><li>
Hands on concrete construction formwork experience preferred</li><li>
Ability to present information in written and oral form to all levels of co-workers within the Company</li><li>
Ability to read and comprehend procedures, regulations, and laws</li><li>
Ability to adapt presentation style to the applicable audience</li><li>
Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills</li><li>
Must be fluent in English and Spanish, with the ability to effectively communicate, read, and write in both language</li><li>
Ability to calculate simple math such as addition, subtraction, division, percentages &amp; ratios.</li><li>
Strong proficiency with Microsoft software programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint</li><li>
Strong proficiency with recruiting job boards / platforms such as Linkedin, Indeed, etc.</li><li>
Knowledge of SuccessFactors preferred</li><li>
