<div>PURPOSE
The Logistics Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and continuously improving Baker Group&rsquo;s logistics and delivery operations supporting Offsite Manufactured (OSM) skids, racks, and related components. This role works closely with Project Managers, Manufacturing, and Field Operations to ensure timely, cost-effective, and safe movement of materials. The Logistics Manager will oversee both third-party carriers and internal delivery operations, with a strong focus on process improvement, scheduling accuracy, and cross-functional coordination. 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

External Logistics &amp; Carrier Management<ul><li>
Partner with Project Managers to secure and manage outside carriers for Offsite Manufactured skids, racks, and components.</li><li>
Solicit quotes, schedule shipments, and coordinate delivery timelines to meet project and construction schedules.</li><li>
Ensure carriers meet Baker Group safety, insurance, and performance standards.</li><li>
Track shipments and proactively resolve delivery issues or delays.</li></ul>
Scheduling &amp; Coordination<ul><li>
Develop and maintain detailed schedules for incoming and outgoing OSM components and finished products.</li><li>
Coordinate closely with Manufacturing, Project Management, and Field Operations to align production, staging, and delivery timelines.</li><li>
Adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes in project scope, priorities, or site conditions.</li></ul>
Loading, Unloading &amp; Resource Planning<ul><li>
Coordinate with manufacturing and warehouse managers to plan manpower and equipment required for loading and unloading trucks.</li><li>
Ensure proper equipment (forklifts, cranes, rigging, etc.) is available and utilized efficiently.</li><li>
Promote safe loading, unloading, and material handling practices.</li></ul>
Internal Delivery Operations<ul><li>
Oversee Baker Group&rsquo;s internal delivery processes and provide direct leadership to the Delivery Manager.</li><li>
Monitor internal fleet utilization, routing, and delivery performance.</li><li>
Ensure internal deliveries align with project needs and customer expectations.</li></ul>
Process Improvement &amp; Continuous Improvement<ul><li>
Evaluate current internal delivery and logistics processes and identify opportunities for improvement.</li><li>
Develop and implement standardized logistics procedures, workflows, and best practices.</li><li>
Track key performance metrics (on-time delivery, cost, utilization, efficiency) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.</li><li>
Collaborate with leadership to scale logistics processes as OSM operations grow.</li></ul>
Communication &amp; Collaboration<ul><li>
Serve as the primary logistics point of contact between Manufacturing, Project Management, and Field Operations.</li><li>
Provide regular updates on delivery status, risks, and mitigation plans.</li><li>
Support a team-oriented culture focused on accountability, safety, and operational excellence.</li></ul> 
MINIMUM EDUCATION &amp; EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS<ul><li>
5+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management, preferably in construction, manufacturing, or industrial environments.</li><li>
Experience coordinating third-party carriers and internal delivery operations.</li></ul>
Preferred<ul><li>
Experience with offsite manufacturing, modular construction, or prefabrication.</li><li>
Familiarity with DOT regulations, freight coordination, and jobsite delivery constraints.</li><li>
Experience leading process improvement or operational efficiency initiatives.</li><li>
Proficiency with scheduling, logistics, or ERP systems.</li></ul> 
MENTAL AND PHYSICAL COMPETENCIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTAL FUNCTIONS<ul><li>
Strong organizational, scheduling, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>
Proven ability to work cross-functionally with project managers and operations teams.</li><li>
Strong communication and leadership skills.</li></ul> 
ENVIRONMENTAL ADAPTABILITY<ul><li>
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.</li><li>
Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally.</li><li>
Ability to work in office, manufacturing and yard environments.</li><li>
Occasional travel to manufacturing facilities and job sites which would require periods of standing, walking and/or climbing stairs.</li></ul>
