Instructional Planning</i></b></p><ul><li>
Applies the Understanding by Design framework in order to design standards-based curriculum that is developmentally appropriate, culturally relevant, and intended to maximize student engagement and achievement.</li><li>
Differentiates lesson plans for students based on their unique learning profiles so that students of all ability levels are engaged and challenged.</li><li>
Designs formative and summative assessments that are aligned with long-term objectives of the course.</li><li>
Uses assessment data to modify short and long-term plans in order to target areas for improvement.</li><li>
Designs classroom procedures that provide and maximize learning time.</li><li>
Continuously reflects on teaching practices, management systems and assessment tools to increase student achievement</li><li>
Submits up-to-date unit plans, lesson plans, and grades.</li><li>
Adjusts course as necessary to maximize effectiveness in the classroom after a cycle of data collection, reflection, and learning.</li></ul><p><b><i>

Displays a thorough knowledge of curriculum and presents academic content that reaches all learners and is developmentally appropriate.</li><li>

Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or related field required</p><p><b>
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:</b></p><p>
At least one (1) year work related experience.</p><p><b>
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, </b><b>REGISTRATIONS:</b></p><ul><li>
ESSA, Highly qualified valid Texas Teaching Certificate as required by teaching assignment or acceptance to approved Alternative Certification Program and results of Certification exam(s).</li><li>

<div><p>The Substitute Teacher ensures continuity in the absence of the classroom teacher or teacher assistant by ensuring a stimulating and motivating classroom environment to provide a high-quality, comprehensive, rigorous educational program for each assigned student.</p><ul><li>
Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.</li><li>
Prepare lessons that reflect accommodations for individual differences.</li><li>
Prepare for classes assigned and show written evidence of preparation upon request of immediate supervisor.</li><li>
Encourage students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior.</li><li>
Guide the learning process toward the achievement of state and local curriculum goals. Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects, to communicate these objectives to the students.</li><li>
Employ a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media consistent with the needs and capabilities of the individuals or student groups involved.</li><li>
Regular attendance is required.</li><li>
