 Summary</b></p></div><div><p><br>
Assist Roofers and Foremen with preparing the job site and covering roofs with materials such as metal, shingles, single-ply systems (TPO, PVC, and EPDM), slate, asphalt, aluminum, wood, and related materials. May operate hand and power tools of all types.</p></div><div><p><b><br>

Minimum Qualifications</b></p></div><div><br>
<ul><li>
Education: High School/G.E.D preferred but not required</li><li>
Experience: General construction experience preferred
</li><li>Driver's License: Not required but it is a plus</li><li>
Willing to submit to a 10-panel drug test</li><li>
Must be self-motivated, open-minded, and able to accept constructive criticism</li></ul></div><div><p><b><br>
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</b></p></div><div><br>
<ul><li>
Knowledge of the basic safety techniques and procedures</li><li>
Attention to detail, ability to prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines according to instructions received</li><li>
Ability to organize, plan, and execute work assignments</li><li>
Interpersonal skills necessary to work on a team</li><li>
Ability to read and use tape measure, mark, or record distances</li><li>
General basic knowledge of construction materials and tools involved in the construction or repair of structures</li><li>
Ability to identify problems and communicate them to his foreman in order to accomplish work</li><li>
Ability to identify and resolves problems in a timely manner according to instructions received</li></ul></div><div><p><b><br>
Essential Functions</b></p></div><div><br>
<ul><li>
Clean up debris from the roof surface and surrounding property</li><li>
Assist with the installation of vapor barriers and/or layers of insulation on the roof decks</li><li>
Cover exposed nail heads with roofing cement or caulking to prevent water leakage and rust</li><li>
Assist with the installation of partially overlapping layers of material over roof insulation surfaces</li><li>
Assist with covering roofs and exterior walls of structures with metal, single-ply systems, slate, asphalt, aluminum, wood, gravel, gypsum, and/or related materials, using brushes, knives, punches, hammers, and other tools</li><li>
Operating vehicles, mechanized devices, or equipment</li><li>
Repair cracks, defects, or damage, using proper materials</li><li>
Apply adhesives, caulking, sealants, or coatings</li><li>
Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job</li></ul></div><div><p><b><br>

Requires seeing details at close range</li><li>
Requires repetitive movement, bending or twisting, kneeling, crouching, stooping or crawling</li><li>
Requires ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry items weighing 50 pounds regularly</li></ul></div><div><p><b><br>
