 Position Summary
 
 
 
 The Quality Assurance Supervisor is a member of the site quality leadership team, responsible for ensuring that products manufactured at the site are safe, compliant with Balchem, customer, and regulatory standards, and meet quality expectations. This role provides analytical insight, site program maintenance and implementation, product and process knowledge while collaborating with Manufacturing, Product Development, Supply Chain, and Customer Service.
 
 
 
 Essential Functions
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Execution and Maintenance Quality, Food Safety and Food Quality Programs
 </li>
 <ul>
 <li>
 Partners with the site food quality and food safety teams to actively apply living Food Safety, Food Quality plans and the prerequisite programs
 </li>
 <li>
 Utilizes operational excellence processes as a platform to drive priorities and change
 </li>
 <li>
 Helps maintain site in audit ready state
 </li>
 </ul>
 <li>
 Prioritizing Compliance, KPI&rsquo;s, Operational Excellence:
 </li>
 <ul>
 <li>
 Responsible for performance and KPIs through auditing, execution, follow-ups.
 </li>
 <li>
 Demonstrates ability to prioritize and bring visibility to non-conformances and key drivers impacting KPI&rsquo;s, assign actions to contain, correct, prevent.
 </li>
 <li>
 Drive root cause analysis on CAPA investigations; ensuring preventive actions are recorded and implemented.
 </li>
 <li>
 Identify operational excellence opportunities and proactively execute on initiatives
 </li>
 <li>
 Contribute to quality commercialization reviews, including specification reviews
 </li>
 </ul>
 <li>
 Talent Management and Development for Quality, and Food Safety Teams
 </li>
 <ul>
 <li>
 Provides technical expertise and is accountable for a high functioning quality team
 </li>
 <li>
 Demonstrates commitment to Food Safety and Quality Culture at the site
 </li>
 <li>
 Engages with cross-functional partners at the site to drive operational excellence
 </li>
 <li>
 Partners with cross functional groups to ensure structured onboarding is implemented cross functionally at site
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensures ongoing training is structured to drive success
 </li>
 </ul>
 <li>
 Escalated Issue Management
 </li>
 <ul>
 <li>
 Responsible for ensuring food safety and quality, and or customer issues are escalated for visibility and for resources, to reduce overall risk at the site and avoid value-add losses
 </li>
 </ul>
 <li>
 Establishes a Culture of Quality and Systems
 </li>
 <ul>
 <li>
 Drives the adoption of systems tools and skill development within the function, as well as across the broader site teams
 </li>
 <li>
 Uses tools to drive Quality Culture initiatives at the site
 </li>
 </ul>
 <li>
 Secondary Responsibilites
 </li>
 <ul>
 <li>
 Partnership with site leaders and cross functional partners for goal setting, decision-making alignment, and training and development needs
 </li>
 <li>
 Supports Supply Chain, Learning and Development, and Commercialization functions as needed
 </li>

 Deliver and keep current training programs focused on food safety and quality
 </li>

 Communicate effectively with internal and external customers

 Timely escalation and communication of food safety, quality, financial issues\
 </li>
 <li>
 Effectively cascade goals using tools such as SMART goals and align with teams on standard work
 </li>
 <li>
 Motivates and builds team strength

 Systems
 </li>
 <ul>
 <li>
 Responsible for the effective application of site Product Safety, Product Quality and prerequisite systems. Ensure these systems effectively interface with change control and commercialization processes.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong ability to root cause issues and prevent recurrence via persistent pursuit of higher hierarchical levels of control than administrative, including but not limited to formula, engineering, and elimination strategies
 </li>
 <li>
 Responsible for applying an effective internal audit program and that corrective actions are completed
 </li>
 <li>
 Brings visibility to, and acts on, priorities that have largest positive impact on key performance indicators and metrics including but not limited to; Inspection/Compliance performance, First Pass Quality, Complaints, Disposals, Inventory Health, Customer Responsiveness, CAPA closure and effectiveness, systems performance, environmental &amp; sanitation performance

 Ensures that response to customers, inspectors and auditors are professional, timely, and in scope
 </li>
 <li>
 Collaborates with R&amp;D, Production, and commercial teams in the development and preparation for production of new Products, Processes, and Equipment to support new product/customer launches. Ensuring the process quantifies the probability of success and clearly communicates the risks and proposed mitigations as an outcome of first-time makes
 </li>
 <li>
 Interface with operational excellence programs to maximize effectiveness
 </li>
 <li>
 Leads preparation for customer visits and external audits
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to become site power user for ERP &amp; LIMS systems
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 </ul>
 
 Requirements
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Operated in an FDA regulated environment, ideally food or dietary supplement
 </li>
 <li>
 2+ years of experience in food, supplement, or related industry.
 </li>
 <li>
 Effective project manager that knows how to prioritize and meet deadlines
 </li>
 <li>
 Execution of CAPA and Customer Complaint system
 </li>
 <li>
 Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in relevant field or other relevant work experience
 </li>
 <li>
 Project Management &amp; Change Management Experience
 </li>
 <li>
 GFSI Scheme (ie SQF, BRC)
 </li>
 <li>
 Certification focused on Quality and Food Safety for Supply Chain requirement: PCQI
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to lift 50 lbs; required to stand, walk, sit, and reach.

 Position Summary
 
 
 
 
 Accurately moving raw materials to and from the warehouse for use by the dryer personnel and completing the transactions in D365. This includes reporting all finished products in D365. Will have a key role in the cycle count program.
 
 
 
 
 Essential Functions

 Receive raw materials - powders, pallets, chemicals, etc.
 </li>
 <li>
 Inspect trailer and received materials before unloading.
 </li>
 <li>
 Accurate inventory and proper storage of received products.
 </li>
 <li>
 Load finished products onto tractor trailers without damage.
 </li>
 <li>
 Inspect trailer before loading.
 </li>
 <li>
 Accurate inventory and proper removal of finished product from designated areas prior to shipping.
 </li>
 <li>
 Transport raw materials to powder, dryers, etc.).
 </li>
 <li>
 Deliver manufactured products from dryers and AG operations to designated storage areas.
 </li>
 <li>
 Accurate inventory/records of manufactured products received.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain neat and orderly warehouse storage areas.
 </li>
 <li>
 Safe/effective use of Hi Lift Forklift for moving and stacking incoming and outgoing product.
 </li>
 <li>
 Inspect incoming trailer and load for pests, orders, filth, and damaged product.
 </li>
 <li>
 Inspect outgoing trailer before loading for pests, odors, filth, and damaged product.
 </li>
 <li>
 Effectively follow Balchem Corporation inventory control systems.
 </li>
 <li>
 Record, legibly, all movements in and out of inventory through.
 </li>
 <li>
 Keep Balchem Corporation production systems stocked with necessary raw materials.
 </li>
 <li>
 Monitor and maintain robot operation.
 </li>
 <li>
 Transport finished products to warehouse and properly store and inventory.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain clean, safe working environment by cleaning up any liquid or powder spills (whatever the cause) immediately.
 </li>
 <li>
 Follow all Balchem Corporation GMPs, Safety Guidelines, and other stated policies.
 </li>
 <li>
 Comply with all policies and procedures of the Corporation
