Assistant BIM/VDC Manager implements BIM, Technology, and related processes and serves as a primary resource to project teams during all phases of the project. The Assist BIM/VDC Manager is involved in project pursuits and developing BIM strategies for proposals. This role helps lead the development of models, and marketing materials. The Assist BIM/VDC Manager ensures project success through monitoring the progress of BIM workflows, serving as the liaison between Balfour Beatty, the client, end user, designers (architectural and engineering firms), and subcontractors. Modeling

<li>Demonstrate levels of proficiency or knowledge in the software including but not limited to Navisworks Manage, Revit, AutoCAD, BIM 360Civil 3D, Sketch-up, Infraworks, Lumion, Blue Beam, Adobe Creative Suite, , and other related software.</li>
<li>Develop building core and shells, underground utilities, MEP systems, supplement components including ZOI and clearance and site conditions quickly in Revit, or SketchUp in preparation for pursuits or coordination</li>

Coordination

4D & 5D
 <ul>
<li>Understand the estimating team’s work breakdown structure, classification, and quantity takeoff tools, and assist with model-based quantity takeoff (4D).</li>
<li>Know the basic scheduling concepts, including critical path, logic between activities, etc.</li>
<li>Prepare 4D animations for schedule analysis and high-quality rendered images used for use in communicating construction sequences or various building conditions.</li>

Reality Capture
 <ul>
<li>Know how to use and set up laser scanning, 360 camera, and drone.</li>
<li>Register and process the point cloud, and put the reality capture into the appropriate platform for coordination, installation quality control, and documentation.</li>

Who we're looking for
 
Qualified candidates will have:

Summary
 Balfour Beatty is seeking a Project Accountant for their projects in Hermiston, OR/Tri-Cities, WA. The Project Accountant is the primary accounting and administrative support for a construction project, from project startup through final closeout. Serves as the liaison between the jobsite and the finance department, ensuring all accounting standard operating procedures are followed at the jobsite. Performs activities related to contracts, bonds, insurance, payables, liens, billings, payroll/cost/budget reports for the jobsite management team.
 Essential Functions
 <ul>
<li>Project Accounting</li>
<li>Provides information to appropriate people regarding project status (i.e. PFR, job cost reports to owners, etc.) and communicates between the field and corporate office.</li>
<li>Ensures job cost reports and accounts receivable reports are accurate at all times and in balance with the general ledger.</li>
<li>Ensures all information in the project cost system and underlying supporting records are properly classified in a manner that best facilitates the use of the information.</li>
<li>Understands the nature of the project cost systems and the information processed. Bring issues to the attention of Financial Services and the Project Manager for assistance and further evaluation.</li>
<li>Enters all financial paperwork into the accounting system to ensure timely and accurate job cost information. This includes owner and sub change orders, owner billings, budget transfers, subcontractor pay requirements, payroll and A/P invoices.</li>
<li>Processes all miscellaneous and blanket purchase order invoices in a timely manner and ensure supporting paperwork is attached, correct and approved.</li>
<li>Collaborates with key people to process monthly billings to owners and runs projected final cost report.</li>
<li>Subcontractor Management</li>
<li>Processes subcontractor monthly pay requisitions and ensures all supporting attachments are correct. Follows up with subcontractors to obtain any missing documents so subcontractors are paid on time.</li>
<li>Maintains subcontractor/vendor purchasing register. Verify all subcontractors have current insurance certificates by checking the insurance/held check database and the fully executed contract prior to the subcontractor starting work.</li>
<li>Project Administration</li>
<li>Implements and maintains a filing system according to company guidelines. Establishes and maintains files required for company Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Minority Business Entity (MBE) requirements.</li>
<li>Performs various administrative tasks for the jobsite, including: handling incoming/outgoing mail and overnight mail; establishing new supplier accounts; purchasing office supplies; preparing payroll; answering telephones; filing; etc.</li>
<li>Promote Customer Relations</li>

Summary
 At Balfour Beatty Construction, we are seeking an Assistant Superintendent for a state-of-the art operations facility consisting of a multi-story, 858,000-square-foot building that will include open office areas, collaborative multi-discipline workspace, computer labs and virtual instruction/distance learning-enable classrooms along with an accompanying 1.2-million-square-foot parking garage. This project is design-build.
 This role will assist the Superintendent by managing designated field activities associated with the project and supervision of designated field construction work by subcontractors and employees. Assists the project team to ensure the project is built on time, within budget, and in accordance with Balfour Beatty Construction’s policies & procedures and the focus on our vision and purpose through Service, Talent and Choices. 30 hours of OSHA training once every four years, or maintain STS certification.

About the role

As the Manager of Community &amp; Resident Communications, you will lead all strategy, planning, and execution for resident-facing communications across our portfolio of military housing, student housing, and multifamily communities. You will partner closely with on-site teams and cross-functional stakeholders to create clear, timely, and thoughtful communications that support resident experience, operational needs, and community engagement. 


This role is both strategic and hands-on. You will assess communication needs, develop messaging frameworks, create written content, and provide guidance to design partners. You will also own the annual resident communications calendar and train new site staff on resident comms processes, tools, and standards. The ideal candidate is a strong writer with sharp communications judgment, the ability to ask the right questions, and the confidence to operate autonomously while proactively improving our communications approach. 

What you'll be doing
<ul>
<li>Create communication plans for resident-facing needs including operational updates, service changes, incident/crisis messaging, and community programs.</li>
<li>Draft clear, concise, and audience-appropriate messages for email, newsletters, SMS, resident portals, FAQs, and town hall materials.</li>
<li>Consult with site teams to gather complete context, ask clarifying questions, and assess communication implications and stakeholder needs.</li>
<li>Collaborate with cross-functional partners (operations, legal, health and safety) to ensure accuracy, alignment, and consistency.</li>
<li>Provide creative direction to graphic design partners for visual assets; ensure visual components support message clarity.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Maintain high editorial standards, ensuring tone, voice, and framing reinforce a positive resident experience and organizational culture.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Plan and organize a full year of proactive resident communications, including seasonal messaging (weather preparedness, holidays) and evergreen topics (policy reminders, safety tips, community expectations).</li>
<li>Partner with operations to identify recurring communications needs and synchronize timing with major business cycles.</li>
<li>Draft and update messages and templates; manage routing for content approvals.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Ensure timely distribution across all properties and channels, adjusting plans as operational priorities shift</li>
<li>Monitor engagement indicators and refine the calendar to optimize clarity and effectiveness.</li>
<li>Serve as a trusted resource to onsite teams needing communication support for unexpected, urgent, or complex resident issues</li>
</ul><ul><li>Assess each situation by asking questions to understand root causes, implications, operational impacts, and resident concerns.</li>
<li>Recommend the appropriate communication approach, from brief alerts to multi-step updates with talking points for staff.</li>
<li>Draft high-quality communications quickly and accurately, ensuring messages are empathetic and reduce confusion for residents.</li>
<li>Help teams anticipate follow-up questions and prepare additional messaging as needed. Provide initial onboarding for new site staff with communication responsibilities, covering messaging standards, brand voice, and the company&rsquo;s resident‑communication philosophy.</li>
<li>Train employees on communication tools and systems (email and design platforms, resident portals).</li>
<li>Develop and maintain easy‑to‑understand guides, templates, and reference materials</li>
<li>Offer periodic refresher training and support for updates to tools, processes, or communication policies.</li>

Typical Physical Demands: Regularly use hands to manipulate tools, controls, phones, and computer keyboard. Frequently stand, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, and stoop. Sit and stand to do clerical work. Regularly lift and move office supplies up to 20 lbs.

Work is performed in an office. Employee frequently interacts directly with community management, facilities management, residents and other staff members during the workday.

Who we're looking for

<li>BA in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English, or related field</li>
</ul><ul><li>5+ years of professional communications experience</li>
<li>Experience supporting operations-driven or audience-driven communications (resident, customer, community, or public-facing) preferred</li>
</ul><ul><li>Experience working with distributed field teams a plus</li>
</ul><ul><li>Exceptional writing, copyediting, and message development skills with the ability to simplify complex or operational topics</li>
<li>Strong communications judgment &ndash; able to assess situations, ask probing questions, and recommend appropriate communication strategies.</li>
<li>Ability to adapt diverse stakeholder &lsquo;voices&rsquo; and tailor tone for different resident audiences.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple timelines in a fast-paced environment.</li>
<li>Strong relationship-building skills with field teams and cross-functional partners.</li>
<li>Strong project management skills: highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven.</li>
<li>Familiarity with communications tools and platforms (email, SMS, resident portals)</li>
<li>Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams) and social media platforms; experience with Canva a plus</li>
</ul><ul><li>Comfort giving creative direction to design partners (graphic design skills not required).</li>
<li>Possession of a valid state issues driver&rsquo;s license and safe driving record are required</li>

 Pay Rate: $85,000 -105,000 yr. *
