Job Summary:

As a Sports Bar Kitchen Supervisor, you will supervise restaurant kitchen actives and employees to ensure smooth and efficient service. This position's wage is $21.50.

Essential Functions: 

<ul>
<li>Assists with management of the kitchen, including supervising activities of all culinary operations including but not limited to, scheduling, training, implementation of policies and procedures, coordinating and actively participating in event operations and monitoring food and labor costs.</li>
<li>Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen to comply with all State and local health department regulations.</li>
<li>Assist in planning menus, catering production, and daily specials, maintaining financial responsibility for the menu. Oversee inventory of food products and coordinates product ordering and receiving within corporate specifications.</li>
<li>Oversee the processes of ordering, inventory, budgeting, profit / loss control, production and execution of all food areas.</li>
<li>Administer the development of recipe standardization.</li>
<li>Responsible for new product analysis, cost comparison and payroll projections.</li>
<li>Conduct personnel interviews and training development/procedures.</li>
<li>Delegate and oversee all kitchen activities.</li>
<li>All other duties as assigned.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Three years&rsquo; culinary arts experience, including previous experience in a management role. More specifically, in a high-volume banquet and catering operation environment; experience supervising personnel.</li>
<li>Familiar with monitoring food and labor cost, menu development and costing. Familiar with ordering and inventory procedures.</li>
<li>Must be 21 years of age or older</li>
<li>Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Illinois Gaming Board</li>
<li>Must be able to obtain and maintain Food Manager ServSafe Manager Certification.</li>
<li>High school or equivalent is required; bachelor&rsquo;s degree is preferred</li>
<li>Must be proficient in the entire Microsoft Suite</li>
<li>Must have excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills</li>
<li>Must have excellent problem-solving skills and must be able to work with shifting priorities</li>
<li>Must be able to work flexible shifts, including weeknights, weekends, and holidays.</li>
<li>Excellent organizational skills</li>

Role: 
 
Monitors day-to-day operations to ensuring that the department is meeting goals and objectives, is following policies and procedures and is providing services effectively and efficiently. 
 
Responsibilities:

Produces and maintains an exceptional work environment, one in which Hard Rockers thrive. 
Patrols the property on assigned shift, identifying potential security and/or safety hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate individual to ensure the safety and protection of guests, employees, and the property. 
Acts as a back-up to security officers on assigned shift and assumes their duties when necessary. 
Updates departmental procedures manuals and is responsible for the documentation of information and the maintenance of all statistical reports. 
Assists in the daily operations of the Security Department. 
Prepares and requests reports on incidents involving guests, employees, and the property. 
Guards all transfers of monies and chips on the casino floor, as well as the physical transportation of hopper fills, chip fills, and credits. 
Facilitates the flow of information throughout the property by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings. 
Conducts daily pre-shift meetings briefing staff on pertinent information. 
Ensures the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports. 
Maintains adequate staffing levels in the security department by interviewing, selecting, training, scheduling, evaluating, and coaching employees and recommending promotions and terminations, as needed. 
Produces weekly schedules and coordinates break schedule for Officers. 
Monitors labor resources to ensure maximum effectiveness in guest service while realizing full profit potential. 
Processes required reports each shift. 
Observes Officer performance providing timely &amp; effective feedback. 
Ensures that Officers are maintaining a proper image in regards to grooming and uniform standards. 
Monitors property ensuring cleanliness &amp; proper maintenance. 
Ensures that Officers are informed of pertinent information including property/departmental goals and objectives. 
Establishes and maintains close working relationships with all departments ensuring maximum cooperation, productivity, morale and guest service. 
Makes suggestions for improvements in overall operations with emphasis on increasing guest satisfaction, revenues as well as reducing costs. 
Acknowledges high achieving Hard Rockers. 
Displays fair treatment with respect to disciplinary action and produce documentation as necessary. Takes corrective action as appropriate. 
Resolves guest &amp; Hard Rocker issues/disputes. 
Develops, implements, and participates in various committees addressing guest/Hard Rocker issues. 
Produces performance appraisals for direct reporting Hard Rockers. 
Adheres to department and property policies and procedures. 
Maintains knowledge of property information &amp; memorabilia. 
Promotes safety awareness to minimize work related injuries.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

A. Knowledge: The level of education, experience, and training an individual must have at minimum to be considered qualified for the position.

Qualifications:

Ability to obtain a MS Gaming Work Permit. 
Extensive knowledge of MS Gaming Commission rules and regulations required.

Role:
